snow returned.
bartholomew weakened, the cold gripped him. he coughed.
the island had began to bloom and he had seen the blessing of God all over. so why had winter seemingly returned just to spite the creations of Him?
a test, was what he told himself. he always told himself that the hardest things were a test.
tired and chest aching, he shuffled his way towards the mainland.
