epithet - Ramesses - April 24, 2022

with the weather warming, ramesses had begun to take his evening meal atop the mesa, in the open air with a complete view of the flatlands far below.
tonight's offering were halves of rabbit and peahen, accompanied by the fermented berries.
ramesses commanded that @Sokha be apprised of an invitation to dinner and sent a servant to fetch the striking woman.

RE: epithet - Sokha - April 24, 2022

When the Pharaoh beckoned, she came; swift and somewhat eager to know the purpose.

Pharaoh. Sokha greeted softly, drawing near with balletic strides.

Much to her surprise, there was a delicate meal lain before the man. It included one item she had never had the pleasure of tasting; while another, something she enjoyed.

Although she had grown even more curious, the girl said nothing further, allowing a gentle, prettied gaze to settle upon Ramesses.

the silver falcon, graceful before the approving gaze of her pharaoh. ramesses smiled pleasantly to see her. "dine with me," he purred in a desirous tone meant to soften the fact that it was a command.
"i want to know more of you, sokha." he took a berry and reclined on the other side of the eating mats, across from her. "whatever you will tell."

RE: epithet - Sokha - May 08, 2022

"Dine with me.:

Words like a soft ballad, he spoke. She listened.

Dancing closer, Sokha sat opposite of him, eyes wandering him slowly.

They lifted to his when he spoke again.

There is little to tell... She replied with a small frown. It was no lie. There wasn't much at all to tell.

I am a simple girl, from a simple village. Mother died when I was young... father disappeared when I was but a babe. Since then, I have been alone.

Though it was brief, she hoped it would satisfy the curious Pharaoh. She did not wish to disappoint him.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - May 11, 2022

a simple girl from a simple village. sokha's upbringing was far less than noble. and it was for this reason he enjoyed her presence. ramesses could see she was fine-made beneath the dust of a far-flung village. it was the proper role of akashingo to mold and to shape her into something usable.
he leveled his lapis stare at her. "where i am from, the most lovely dancers and devoted priestesses come from regions far beyond the nile." ramesses glanced with appreciation at her forelegs.
"who taught you to move so? have you danced before?" he asked, shifting toward her almost imperceptibly.

RE: epithet - Sokha - May 11, 2022

Leaning down in a gentle, lady-like manner, she feasted on a few of the berries before finding that his gaze was set upon her; his lips bore a query.

My mother had begun to teach me as a girl. Then she passed... A small stare fell upon her feet. It was a tale she told many times, but it never got any easier the more she did.

I was made to be an entertainer; and so another came to teach me. I remember little, but she was very talented. This much was true; however, she began to think that the Pharaoh was offering too much praise towards her own ability. She wasn't really that good... not in her own eyes.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - May 17, 2022

a dead mother. ramesses put this aside. he would evoke it another time, in his grief, but for now he had no such. he only existed with the silver speaker in a growing desire. "so you are naturally gifted," he murmured, smiling at her.
"my court here has never had an entertainer. or a singer." his eyes sparkled. "i think it is incomplete without such. what would you desire in return for the role?"
he could order her. he could even suggest with his sugared tones. but he wanted committal from sokha, the first of many ways in which he intended to slowly and tightly tie her to the palace.

RE: epithet - Sokha - May 17, 2022

Sokha was plainly surprised. He spoke so highly of her. Why?

I wouldn't say "naturally", really... Maybe he would think she was being modest. She wasn't. It was no natural gift. She had struggled many years to learn what perfection meant. Even now she could not live up to the word.

In return? What was there even to be given in return? He was a Pharaoh, thus he had much to offer, surely. But Sokha was no individual that craved what many others did. At least, not all of it.

What more should I ask of you? She wondered aloud, head tilted sideways a bit with a bright gleam ablaze upon her gaze. You have provided me wondrous sights, kindly faces, and a place to call home. To her, there was nothing better. Call her naive, but with the crappy past she's had, nothing could add up to the contentment she'd been given in the mesa.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - May 18, 2022

sokha wanted to ask nothing. she praised him. ramesses allowed her to shower him with the velvet petals of her words, smiling softly.
"then we are even. fulfilled." he took another berry and gazed into the gentle insistence of her radiant face. she was resplendent and beautiful, a perfect vessel for the light which shone about them both.
"will you sing for me?" he asked, thinking of how they had first met. his eyes flicked to her mouth and then back to her own, vying, challenging lightly for a word of agreement — or a silken denial.
such was the favourite dance of ramesses.

Credit of song lyrics (Lullaby Love, by Roo Panes)

Even. Fulfilled. So they were.

"Will you sing for me?"

Yes, Pharaoh. She cooed softly, gently; as much so as her lips would allow. If it is a song you wish to hear, I will sing.

Settling down comfortably, she closed her eyes and began to hum, finding the rhythm of the tune she had in mind.

An avenue once bent in shadow
In a morning straight and hallow
You hold high a destination
You sing to me, sweet revelation
I feel the quickening in my step
'Til I don't even touch the ground
'Cause when I'm seeing double
It's your lullaby love that keeps me from trouble
It's your lullaby love that's keeping me level
It's your lullaby love that keeps me awake
When this voice retires from talking
When these ears, they're tired of ringing
When my feet get bored of travelling
And it looks like it's all unraveling
When this heart's too old for dreaming
That's when I hear the angels sing your lullaby
'Cause when I'm seeing double
It's your lullaby love that keeps me from trouble
It's your lullaby love that's keeping me level
It's your lullaby love that keeps me awake
'Cause when I'm seeing double
It's your lullaby love that keeps me from trouble
It's your lullaby love that's keeping me level
It's your lullaby love that keeps me awake.

Occasionally, her eyes would open, caressing the man with a touch-less sensation. She silently willed him to have enjoyed the song all the while, hoping the tune was something that pleased his ears and relaxed his soul and mind.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - May 28, 2022

she sang.
slowly ramesses felt his spirits lift. her words were not the formal hymns to which he was accustomed; sokha's voice was warmer and far more intimate.
when she finished, he watched her for a long while. "you have earned your place at court," pharaoh praised hoarsely, unable to muster a smile despite the fact that his eyes shown with approval.

RE: epithet - Sokha - May 28, 2022

There were a few words of praise; enough to appease the vying heart.

It delights me that you enjoy my songs, Sokha purred softly, a small smile appearing from her lips before she ducked to pluck yet another berry from the offerings before her.

She thought then of more candidates for his enjoyment. As an entertainer in the Pharaoh's court, he would likely require more, and often. Perhaps she could even create a few melody's of her own to please his audit.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - May 28, 2022

ramesses shifted toward sokha in a smooth motion, and this time he did brush her cheek with his lips, sliding pale forearm around her though not so tightly; a loose embrace that brought their shoulders to rest close.
"i would like to delight you in return, sokha," pharaoh purled, self-assured and confident in his move.

RE: epithet - Sokha - May 28, 2022

Sokha was slightly surprised as he drew closer, but she not shy away.

Was this allowed? Of course it had to be. He was the Pharaoh after all.

Your mere presence is delight enough for me, Pharaoh. She crooned. You are built of strength and confidence. Your words are inspiring and intimidating all at the same time. Any should be lucky to be in eye shot of your greatness.

These were not meant to be flirtatious or sycophantic, but truthful. This was how she felt any time she was around him... minus a few strings of the heart being plucked and fluttered.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - May 30, 2022

she spoke poetry to him. his heart was lifted. his body ran hot; yes, ramesses tightened now with a silken possessiveness, the closing coils of an adder.
he laughed gently. he drew away. she had not yet accepted.
"you are worshipful. the gods chose truly when they chose how you would be created, my silvered one."
his eyes dazzled with another grin.

RE: epithet - Sokha - May 30, 2022

She could not help but be slightly disappointed as he pulled away from her, but did not hold the means to plea the return of his comfort and closeness. To think less of it, Sokha focused upon his words.

Worshipful of you. Words of truth, admiration, and admittance. There had never been another she'd worshiped before. Ramesses was the only.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - May 31, 2022

his eyelids fell, half-lidded; his words turned to wine and to cinnamon. he would not approach, not again, but left his alabastrine arms loose and outstretched, chest an inviting perch should she come into his embrace.
"show me," ramesses breathed, teeth gleaming in a dangerous, open grin.

RE: epithet - Sokha - May 31, 2022

"Show me."

The words trickled through the air, finding her ears with a caressing touch.

Slowly gliding from his touch, Sokha tread a few inches away before turning to face him. Pushing her forelimbs upward, her lithe frame sprung into the air. She danced in a small circle, balancing easily on her hind legs while her fore reached for the sky. Only for a few moments longer did her body move before it returned to the ground, sinking against the earth in a low bow. This was the way she once saw servants worship her former Maharaja when the sun rose and fell.

This is how my people would worship.

Ramesses now knew what it was like for her kind to worship those worthy; and now, it was his turn to see her version.

Coming nearer again, Sokha lightly brushed her body along his. Drawing along his frame, she slunk on, reaching from his tail, across his back, and up to his neck where she paused. Once here, the woman nibbled at his ears and caressed his cheek with her own, keeping her body low and pressed against his flank. And this is how I worship those most deserving, She breathed, words being blown like sweet, hungry whisper right into his ear.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - May 31, 2022

we can fade or timeskip! up to u <3

sokha lifted in a dazzling step. she moved with the grace of clouds upon a rainswept sky. his eyes watched and hungered.
and then she was against him, upon him, her light frame moving satin and honey against his own until the sweetness of her voice scorched the inside of his ear like a khamsin.
his mouth had gone dry; all ramesses could do was gaze upon her, and then he wound his long snowy limbs around sokha and pulled her against his heartbeat.
"let it be mutual," he murmured back, lips against her throat.

RE: epithet - Sokha - May 31, 2022

Timeskip, maybe?
She watched as his eyes followed her, a glint of satisfaction in her eyes. It was partially for herself, but also in the knowledge she knew she had done well. Pleasing others had always been a priority, but today, Sokha was provided the chance to experience it in return.

Ramesses pulled her close. The woman released a faint sigh, eyes fluttering to a close to enjoy each touch upon her. Their embrace was one thing she would never tire of. The thrum of his heart, the warmth of his fur. All were too welcoming.

Anything for you, my Pharaoh, Sokha cooed in that sickly sweet tune.

My Pharaoh. The words rung through her mind all the while, a small smile sticking upon her lips. She could never be rid of it. She could never be rid of him, and never wanted to be.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - May 31, 2022

sokha's body drew with it a song of its own, and ramesses knew all the words by the end. long hours went by before at last he lay beside her, sated and laughing and jubilant, completely ensnared by the riotous worship of her dancer's loins.
"i am made wholly undone, silver one," he said, voice throaty with a newly building desire. "stay with me tonight, in my chambers," he asked gently. the sun had fallen. the sky was dark. but there were long hours yet to explore, and if her want for him was great, his did match.

RE: epithet - Sokha - May 31, 2022

Some dances were boring, others neutral and entertaining. But of all, this one proved do be both pleasing and worthwhile. Sokha enjoyed every second of it, especially considering the fact that she had a fine dance partner.

"Stay with me tonight." He would say. How could she say no?

Stretching, she chuffed softly, ducking beneath his chin to give it a small kiss. This was her way of agreeing to his request, seeing as words did not seem necessary.

RE: epithet - Ramesses - June 01, 2022

fade here? <3

hours whiled away with sokha, while she taught him languages that needed no tongue to utter. ramesses meant to keep them both here a time longer, but when the golden light of Ra flowed into his bedchamber, it would be across the pharaoh and the dancer, tucked into the warm intimacy of his strong arm, his favour full upon her.

RE: epithet - Sokha - June 01, 2022

mhm ^-^

Sokha couldn't help but find a frown drawn upon her lips.

The sun had risen far too soon, the night gone as quickly as it had come.

As much as she would have liked to linger longer within his tight, affectionate embrace, she knew it was time to leave Ramesses. He was Pharaoh. Surely there were things to be done without her presence.

Unless you will command otherwise, Pharaoh, the sun has bid my departure. And so, if he would allow it, Sokha would carefully slip away from his grasp and see her way out of his chambers, leaving him to whatever business he need attend.
