(CLAIM) we sirens search to make ours whole - Aktaiê - October 10, 2014

Claiming howl! If you want to claim 10 EXP for being a founder, make sure you respond to this. It will close on October 17, 2014. @Caiaphas @Aella @Greyjoy @Akantha @Leukothea @Tethys

They had done it.

Preparations for their announced claim had taken longer than any of them had anticipated, but Aktaiê wanted to ensure that their claim could not be disputed. They had lost some in the process; some to the Sea, others back to Themiscrya, and others still to the winds... what they were left with was a small, devoted core. As sad as the siren was that Psamathe had returned home, she knew that it was likely for the best; she would rather her followers be those with conviction and purpose. With the weak weeded out, only the strong remained, and Ankyra Sound would flourish. Their traditions and beliefs would flourish.

She stood atop the cliffs, facing out over the ocean. Inhaling deeply, tasting the salty breeze, Aktaiê lifted her head to the sky and sang of her claim — inviting the others to join her. Ankyra Sound belongs to the Nereides, blessed by the Sea and Moon.

RE: (CLAIM) we sirens search to make ours whole - Greyjoy Orkwood - October 10, 2014

Greyjoy knew of Aktaie's thoughts, especially regarding those who had joined and left their cause as easily as spilling water from their lips. He also knew that the group that surrounded them now was the strongest it had ever been, save for Psamathe. Greyjoy wanted the Seer there for Aktaie's sake, if not for the Sound's. Though they had never gotten along, he missed her presence more than he had expected.

But their claim was true, even if their numbers were small. He heard Aktaie's howl rend the air and he smiled despite himself. It was a hard-won claim, something that had taken them weeks longer than anticipated, but it was finally here. Ankyra Sound was theirs. Greyjoy lifted his muzzle into the air, closed the orange eyes, and howled with his High Priestess. Howled to the Sea and the Moon, howled to the Drowned One, howled to let anyone nearby know that this territory was theirs, and he would die to defend it.

RE: (CLAIM) we sirens search to make ours whole - Leukothea - October 10, 2014

With the soft yet strong melody of the High Priestess's song in the air, the dainty female too, rose her voice to the air, her bell-like tones cresting the air in confirmation that she too, had been held as a follower of The Mother's comforting embrace.

Leukothea released her soul born music, until the notes gave her satisfaction that she had proved her worth to the newfound pack, the official pack, now a safe haven for the servants of the Eternal One, Mother of the Nereides.

As the remaing ricochet sounds spanned the air, the humble ivory lowered her slim skull, relishing the rest of the song.

RE: (CLAIM) we sirens search to make ours whole - Tethys - October 10, 2014

That was the second pack she had scented- Ourboros Spine. Tethys had discovered the Bay not soon after Caiaphas had shown her the Sound, but the ebony nymph was surprised to catch a faint whiff of a group farther south. Her mind briefly toyed with the thought of moving inland and seeking out what other groups, and males, resided between the mountains. But she would have to rely on the Totoka River. Tethys knew no other way than survival by water dependence, and if the River didn't run very far, then it would be a waste of time.

Tethys picked her way up the rolling knolls that stretched below the sea cliffs. Although Ankyra stretched far along the coast, there was little need for them to stake land past a few ridges in the forest and meadows. She stopped to lift her leg against a bush when the call reached her ears. Abandoning the scent mark, the onyx creature joyously bounded forward, reaching the top of the hill. She could hear, but not see, the voices of several others in tandem with the leading call, no doubt the Priestess. With a few yips, Tethys threw back her muzzle and let loose a resounding, harmonious howl.

RE: (CLAIM) we sirens search to make ours whole - Caiaphas - October 10, 2014

The lithe wastrel was navigating the shattered stacks when the first howl came - resounding strong and tenacious over the hurried breeze. The call was unmistakably Aktaie's and what swiftly followed seemed a chorus of accompanying howls -- Caiaphas turned her head to the side as she pierced from the wind Greyjoy's, Leukothea's, and lastly, Tethys'. A thin smile warped her slender muzzle and for a moment she considered waiting to hear of any other wolf's contribution -- but there was a pause, and none came.

Slyly she stepped between several stacks where their bluntly cropped faces faced inland and their smooth surfaces jutted first upwards and then towards the sand -- their surface at once both incongruous and sleek. It was here she elected to howl for two reasons - one, the corridor of stacks acted as a resonating chamber -- and two, she sought to shake any seabirds from their roost. Caiaphas threw back her head then and her raucous howl joined the canticle of howls -- a fiery and impetuous cry that barreled down the strand with as much clamor and unrestraint as the sea that bore them.

RE: (CLAIM) we sirens search to make ours whole - Aella - October 12, 2014

The harmonic voices of the sirens' song echoed through the sound announcing the beginning of the sisterhood reign within the Teekon Wilds. The place Akatie chose to establish the new branch was without a doubt beautiful, and Aella felt that it wouldn't be too hard to adapt to their new home.

The amazon glanced at Thea, who at her side rose her snout to join the solemn chants that claimed Ankyra Sound as their territory, and alongside the sirens, Aella pledged her loyalty to Akatie.

A new era had just begun, and it was Aella's task as an Amazon to keep the sound safe, to keep the pack and the sisters safe, and as soon as the song ended, the crimson warrior parted to secure the area. Winter was still several nights away, but the moment to prepare for it was now.
