one day, you'll be cool - Siv - October 10, 2014

There was a peculiar skip in her steps as she found herself traipsing in and out of the trunks of the trees. They were lightly interspersed throughout the forest, which made it easier for light to filter through their changing leaves and ignite the floor in shades of fiery orange, faded yellows, and crisp reds. Her mind fluttered with the prospect of Redhawk Caldera, and she could hardly stand still.
The Savoy girl was am impulsive creature, by nature, but she wasn’t entirely air-headed. There was a sense of nervousness to her when she imagined being surrounded by other wolves. Siv had lived her entire life on her own – at least her adult life – and she didn’t always know how to behave in a socially acceptable manner. Still, she had been offered the chance to become part of something more, and she had gladly taken it. Already, she had a blossoming respect for Fox that she could not swallow. Siv imagined that it was how she was supposed to feel for her leader. She had yet to meet the rusty-furred female’s mate Peregrine, however. The coywolf girl wondered if it would happen before long… if he would even approve that Fox had invited Siv to join the pack.
It was a good kind of nervous. She liked the Teekon Wilds, and she planned on staying for as long as she could. Trotting through the depths of the forest, the honey-colored female allowed a smile to curl her dark lips upwards. And even though she was alone, her cheeks flushed pink in color.

There was a pack forming nearby, and he did not like their presence one bit. There were enough packs here as it was, and now a new batch of competitors were going to show up? This called for more action. More patrols, more recruitment. They needed followers so that they would survive winter.

The assassin stalked through the multicolored leaves, standing out from their brilliance. He wanted to see if the newcomers had established their borders yet, or even did a claiming howl. His frost-bitten eyes flickered from side to side as he strode through the woods, pausing when he saw a female in the woods, skipping with glee. Curious to what had made her so gleeful, the Beta walked towards the female, chuffing softly. "What is making you so happy?" He said with a curious and friendly tone.

Tickled by the thought that she would not be forced to live on her own any longer, Siv hardly realized that there was another scent in the thick autumn air. When she finally settled herself down enough to focus, he had already spoken up. Quickly, her bright blue gaze snapped to the shadowy-coated male and she drew her dark lips upwards in a quick smirk. His question was not posed in a gruff tone, but instead implied that he was genuinely curious. Siv could not help but to oblige him, and her mouth spread wide into a wolfish grin.
“Man alive, you scared the shit out of me,” she exclaimed firstly, a soft chuckle slipping past her narrow muzzle. Her bright blue eyes twinkled at him, though, suggesting that she was only teasing the dark creature. “I was uh… just… well you see,” she stammered, trying to best explain to this stranger why she was so pleased. “I just got accepted into my first pack,” Siv finally blurted with a swift nod of her head. Certainly this male would understand the utmost importance of this happening in a young girl’s life.
