Goddess of Love and Maternity - Kaname - October 10, 2014

@Mara

Neverwinter was an old haunt that he deigned to visit ever since the drama with Ptarmigan. Now that they were free of the tyrant's rule, he had more freedom, though he was supposed to be doing a job. Nonetheless, he scoured the dark woods for any signs of wolves. Before he roamed farther, he would check the places closest to the pack.

The dark-furred male blended into the darkness of the woods. He briefly wondered that, if it ever came to that, perhaps he and Cara could go to Blackfeather Woods, Meldresi's pack. But he shook the thought aside. Cara would die before giving up the Spine. He could never convince her to leave, nor would he leave her. He could, however, search for those who would join, so that he would never have to come to that decision.

Sorry its so late :3

Mara was terribly lost. The sunset colored she-wolf twisted her head around, trying to make sense of the gloomy forest. The fact that it was well past sun down made it even better. Her rust-hued pelt stuck out like a red flag in the murk and her grey eyes cast a luminous glow on her face as she searched for something that would lead her out.

Her paws crunched on the twigs and leaves below and she didn't even care. All she wanted was to get out of here, to find someone, something other than the dead looking trees. Finally giving up, she sat on the moss cloaked forest floor and let out a despaired hmph. She wrapped her tail around her russet paws and tried to think of which way she came. She came up empty. Everything looked the same around here.

Suddenly she heard a crunch of a brittle branch below a paw. Her ears perked and her head snapped to the direction of the sound. Maybe whatever it was would be helpful and help her find the way out. The fact that anything that wondered around in a place such as this would most likely not be friendly didn't even cross hope blurred mind as she called out.

"Hello? Is someone there? I promise I don't bite. Not usually anyways." she spoke loudly out to the unknown creature.

In the murky hue of the woods, Kaname spotted a ray of sunshine. A metaphorical one. It was the pelt of a wolf, a wolfess, looking lost. For a moment, he wondered if it was the Blacktail Deer wolf, but she was older. He paused as she snapped her head towards the sound of a branch breaking. In his direction. Slipping back into the shadows, he circled around her, then stepping out behind her. "Hello..."

Mara shrieked in fright, spinning quickly to face the unknown wolf that had suddenly appeared behind her. His pelt was such a dark brown that it blended completely into the shadows, only his ice blue eyes showing. His tone didn't sound hostile. At least she thought it didn't.

"Oh my god, you scared me! I thought it was some crazy bear that was going to eat me. Your not going to eat me, are you?" she asked, her voice becoming weary at the possibility. She had taken a few steps away from his voice at the beginning but now she took another step forward to see him better through the moonless gloom. Her red toned tail brushed against the fallen leaves but not in submission, just tiredness. She met his ice colored eyes with her own glowing grey ones with a look of hopefulness. "Would you by any chance know the way out of here? I am completely lost." The rust pelted she-wolf admitted sheepishly.

He bit his lips to hid the laughter that threatened to spill out at the girl's shriek. She stepped back fearfully, inquiring if he would eat her. He chuckled darkly, playing along with the girl's fears. "No, I won't hurt you." he smirked, knowing the effect his dark pelt and light eyes had on her.

The assassin stepped closer to the girl as she admitted to being lost. Not something you should say to a stranger. Especially one in a dark forest like this. "Yes, I know the way out." he said.

Honestly, I forgot about this thread :3 this is my fading thread

Mara leaned back from the dark wolf, a little afraid. She tried to look confident as she smiled slightly at the thought of finally getting out of the dark woods.

"Thank you so much." she said, her voice seeming extremely loud in the silent forest. She stepped out of his way, ready to follow him out of the trees.
