he rose with the sun. a soft good morning and his plans for the day would be whispered to @Heda before he set out. off to the lavender fields where he began a morning prayer. thankful for the day upon them, thankful for the flourishing of the isle, thankful for the healing of heda. in the end of these moments he wondered if @Jasmine intended to stay long term. in a way, it already had been, but he had no intentions of pressuring her into living here now that they returned. he would welcome her either way. a conversation for a later time in the day, perhaps. for now he headed towards the tide pools. RE: blessed home - Jasmine - July 28, 2022 The true keepers of the island had returned. Jasmine had scented Heda and Bartholomew on the fringe of the beaches earlier the previous day, and she had given them space. She knew the wears of travels, how good it simply felt to be home and to be left alone, if even for a little bit. At least, that always felt good to her. She didn't give much space to think it might be different for others. But this morning when she saw Bartholomew's odd yet familiar silhouette cutting away from the lavender fields, Jasmine hiked on over with new purpose in her step. "So it's true! The travellers have returned," she greeted from still a couple strides off, a cheeky but playful grin adorning her words, "so, how's the world beyond the Isle?" RE: blessed home - Bartholomew - July 28, 2022 "so it's true!" this was not the voice of heda but of — jasmine,he offered warmly. welcoming her presence and the lively air she carried with her. a breath of fresh air for all the salty breezes on the island. it was strange. have you ever been to the hinterlands? the land changes almost every time you turn. sometimes stony, sometimes swampy.his head shook with mild disbelief. finding it hard to grasp how he had even survived the journey! he could recount the whole thing to her, if she so wished. he only knew it was good to be home. |
