Protege Warriors - Sovereign - August 02, 2022

Sovereign decided that she wanted to go visit their allies across the mountains today.
The journey didn't seem nearly as long as it really was, especially where her mother herself had given blessing for the Princess to wander on her own.

Little did she understand that her mother hadn't originally been so willing to let her leave alone.

Sovereign promised she;d be careful, as all kids did to their overprotective parents, and upon the defeated agreement, she was gone into the wilds.

The young princess stopped at the scent markers of the Dominion and let out a loud puppy-ish howl: Can i come in?

A call came — a call for her. The young Royal had never been called upon before. It intrigued her. She left the rendezvous and made her way carefully towards the borders. At only ten weeks old, it wasn't exactly safe for her to be travelling, but her mother nor father were not around to stop her, and she was brave. Venere feared nothing.

At the borders, she saw Sovereign — they had just met yesterday, during the big inter-pack hunt. Venere's tail rose and swayed gently. "Hello. Back so soon?"

Sovereign smiled as Venere approached with a high, waving tail.
The Princess's own stood high and waving too, friendly in mannerism.

"Wanna spar?" The Princess asked, a big, hopeful smile on her snow-pale face.

Ah, the innocence of a youth yet to be tainted by the ways of the world. A precious thing, it was.

RE: Protege Warriors - Venere - August 12, 2022

Venere did not usually have willing partners — most of her scraps had been instigated and didn't end well. But, as she sized her opponent up, she smiled. Sovereign was larger and older than her. She wouldn't have to go easy. 'Kay. But we gotta go to the rend — the cavern, she hated not being able to pronounce rendezvous, but shrugged it off. Mama still doesn't like us going too far. She would begin to lead the way back.

Sovereign waved her tail excitedly as Venere accepted the invitation.
Nodding with understanding, the Dagger would follow easily at the younger pup's flank as Venere lead them to their current densite.

Sovereign was quiet and observant as they walked, allowing her younger peer to instigate conversation if she so chose.

I'm experimenting with Venere being a bit nonverbal/relying more on body language and other sounds for communication, so if you need more, lmk <3

The young Royal was quiet as they walked through the forest, too focused on the sounds around her to pay much mind to conversation. She found it useless at times, mostly because those she talked with, she fought with as well. Both of her siblings she had a rocky relationship with at best, but, giving Sovereign a side-eyed glance, Venere hoped it would be different this time.

Eventually, she did speak up. You got sisters? Brothers? Her own sister had vanished without a trace, and Venere found herself longing.

Sovereign glanced to Venere as the girl inquired about family.
Sisters, brothers?
"I did, but...they disappeared." She answered, sadness in her tones with the confession.
Shaking her head sharply, Sovereign forced the sadness away to focus on the present.
The past belonged in exactly that - the past.

At Sovereign's words, Venere slowed to brush her side against the larger girl. My sister got lost, too. Now, it was just her and her brothers. What's home like? She was too young to visit, but she knew from the hunt that the Saints had more numbers than the Dominion.

The cliffs were in view now, and Venere picked up her pace, tail waving. The cavern was almost in view, not that they'd be fighting in that today. Once at the entrance to the cavern, she stopped and grinned. Her brothers and mother were gone, so it was nice and quiet. Who goes first?

RE: Protege Warriors - Sovereign - August 25, 2022

Sovereign's face lifted into a small smile as Venere spoke to share in her woes with an identical one.
She too lost a sibling. Not all of them, but it didn't matter past the fact that she probably felt sad too.
"Home? It's really big, lots of trees, but also a huge river, and it's all surrounded by mountains." Sov explained, tail wagging softly.

Upon arriving to the outside of the cavern, Sovereign mirrored Venere's grin with her own.
"I'll attack first, if that's okay?" She asked, unsure if her friend wanted that opportunity for herself or not.
