Kiss the Clouds - Buddy - August 16, 2022

Buddy had been a member of Atautsikut for a short time now. Other than the leaders he had met no one else. He had plenty of time to explore every inch of the territory, leaving his own markings on nearly every tree. Today he would hunt. The everlasting cloud cover challenged him, it masked some of the scents that he would have been able to pick up easier without it. He licked the air, tasting the moisture. His nose was working overtime to pick up on a small game trail, he was too distracted today. Where was everybody?

He plunged his nose through the thick fog and to the ground. He had found something, although he wasn't entirely sure what. He quickly found a set of footprints to match the scent, and began to follow the trail.

RE: Kiss the Clouds - Calida - August 22, 2022

Things on the mountain were dreadfully slow-going, and Calida hated it. For the first time, she began to contemplate leaving, because if things continued how they were, they would not have the numbers necessary to survive. The red woman huffed, shaking her head as she trotted a path down, and then she smelled Buddy. Ears pricking, she loosed a short call and began to make her way towards him.

The footprints had led him to a pile of droppings. He sniffed at them for a few moments before wrinkling his nose slightly. A call came then, from one of his alpha females, Calida. He stood straight with his ears alert, awaiting her arrival.

Calida found the hunting dog doing exactly that, or so she assumed, given he was near a pile of droppings. She gave him a brief dip of her head and said, I'd like to join you, and see how you're settling in. The summit had been very lonely as of late. What if he left, too?
