lote had gone.

neverwinter had not lifted. moonspear was silent.

she walked among the trees, her mind filled with a thousand thoughts.

i know we have another but callyope angst is too great <3

Winterglade.

Wasteland.

Not a smudge of paint or bones to be found.

The girl felt as though she was losing far too much, far too fast. Mo had gone first. Now second family.

She held anguish near most days now.

They all move like herds.

Her voice small, whispered on the wind to her mother.

I feel like spirit hunter.

Can be a cameo, unless you'd like him to join in <3!

He roamed further today, wondering if he might find moon girl again. She had not left his thoughts since he had met her on the Terrace; in the shadows of the Weald, her starfire eyes seemed to blink through.

Melaneus found himself in another woodland, smelling nothing of Oi Kryfoi, yet almost just as dark. It was here he saw them, twin spectres in the trees. A small voice lifted. His spine tingled. This was her - and another.

The wind pushed towards him - gentle, though it was, - and he sunk within the shadows, stilling himself beneath the heavy boughs of an evergreen. He could see them still, if vaguely so, through the scattered breaks in the pine needles.

thanks for joining! id love if they all formally met :D

someone was near.

but kukutux could not know this for certain. her eyes were warm toward callyope.

"maybe you are meant to be spirit-caller."

moonwoman pushed deeper into the abandoned, silent woodland.

They pushed alongside one another.

She did not know Dying Sun was near, if she had, her demeanor may have flipped grandly.

Alas.

I think I am.

Her gaze turned towards her mother, wondering what she'd make of it.

u can toss @Melaneus in anytime <3

there was a knowing look to her green eyes.

it was a loss in cerne, to have him unable to teach the girl. she must find someone who could. she herself only knew a little of the spirits, only what she had been taught.

but perhaps moonwoman held more wisdom than she knew. with each passing year it became greater.

"it is a hard path to walk. but you are made for the journey."

RE: gugil ⤧ - Callyope - August 30, 2022

Did any of my atauraga make the journey?

She knew they were not all here still.

She thought of Samani and the wisdom her sister held, but she did not seem like spirt-caller.

There had been a sister of the mountain. There was a sister that was further away.

She walked the same path next to her mother, but her spirit felt far.

RE: gugil ⤧ - Kukutux - September 07, 2022

she shook her head.

"sialuk knows the ways of throwing-bones and has gone upon a spirit journey. kausuit lives with the walrus women and speaks to those who cannot be seen. but neither has returned as anatuk."

they were quiet now as they walked.

RE: gugil ⤧ - Melaneus - September 19, 2022

Quiet, too, kept the shadow who crept alongside them.

It may have been a foolish thing, keeping to the dark while they roamed in broadest light. What if he could not keep quiet and one of them spooked? A stray crack of a branch was all that might take. A shift in the wind.

Already the winds shifted. He felt the slightest turn of a tug against his fur. The trees remained ample enough he might find more cover in moving with the breeze. Stay secret, keep hidden.

But there was another way of a hidden one, a way he had learned without teaching. If he could stay hidden from those he wished to hide from, he could, too, choose to show himself to those he wished might see.

So he did not move with the changing of the breeze. Let the soft wind play through his fur, and took a careful, silent step from his shelter of shadows.

Anatuk.

Neither sister had come back as such, but Moonwoman saw her fit for the journey. She felt warm. Flustered and scattered in thought. Flattered too. She struggled with these things for a long moment.

The wind tussled fur, teased scents along their path.

Enough for —

Dying Sun.

But she had vowed no name would be said before another! Not even her mother! She remembered where he had said he had come from, though. She would call him this.

Hidden One,

She was not scared before him now, only hesitant as her face felt flush beneath pale furs.

For a moment, she forgot all about her anaa at her side.

RE: gugil ⤧ - Kukutux - October 16, 2022

a boy. a shadow. moonwoman was silent.

she looked to callyope.

"who is this one?" she asked in the rapid clicking words. but her gaze was only interested when she set it upon the young man again. and she wondered.
