into a land of enchantment - Aquene - October 08, 2022 AW but maybe @Siku and we can do some mother teaching healing moments?
Aquene hummed softly as she went about storing herbs within the tablinum, taking stock of what she had. Winter was fast approaching, and she knew she would need to go on some longer journeys to fetch what she and Fennec might need in the winter months. Last winter her stores had not been as built, and it had been stressful to say the least. And now, the pack was more built. They had more numbers now which meant more paws that might need treatment within the winter months as well. She was pulling dried out marigold from the stores, using a first in, first out system to try and keep the stores revolving but somehow it had fallen from that system, which meant now she would need to bury some of the herbs that were too dried and brittle to be used effectively. RE: into a land of enchantment - Siku - October 08, 2022 he had become a sour, reserved boy. not around his mother and nanuq, but his cares of the rest of mereo had fallen away. he found himself with a growing lack of interest in life here. so he kept to the medic tendencies of his mother's way, or entertaining himself with his twin's company. so perhaps it should have been no surprise when he came to the medical den, a stick in his mother. that he kindly placed on the ground before asking — whatcha doing? RE: into a land of enchantment - Aquene - October 08, 2022 She knew the moment her son arrived in the den, her head not turning immediately as she used her paw to finish scooping the stores out… it wasn’t until his question rose that she cast a warm smile to him. “I’m cleaning out the marigold… we accidentally turned the store around, and so some of the marigold we had stored in the back needs to be disposed of. It won’t help like the rest of it will.” She offered, beckoning him over so she might show him. “See how these stems are brittle, and fall apart at the touch? They’re too brittle to use effectively. Do you remember what marigold does?” She asked, knowing she had told him before. It helped with infection, similar to how she had recently used it on Reyson’s face, before going to Epoch to assist with Tamar’s delivery. |
