May the last long year be forgiven - Njord - October 18, 2022
One last warm day urged Njord to patrol Sapphique. He wound through the mossblossom and down towards the meadow on the hunt for a new densite. @Meerkat, Mercy, @Swordfish, and @Stingray had managed to make due with their old burrow in the Greatpine… but he had always intended to provide them with a larger home. Perhaps he could find a suitable place and, if Meerkat agreed, strike ground before the hard frost made it impossible to excavate.

Njord traveled around Glintwater lake towards Mossblossom. When he crossed the meadow into Fireblood stand he saw it: a perfect place to claim a den. Beneath the autumn red trees lay a hidden spot: an old stump's roots had been hollowed out many years ago. Perhaps whoever last inhabited Dragoncrest had used this place. It looked well-worn and lived-in.
He went inside. Despite the small entrance, the chamber was large. The earthen walls were soft and well-sculpted. Wolf smell was old and stale.
The man plotted the point in his mind and departed.
