He left the Grove with a mission in mind.
Scout the nearby bypass and see if it offered anything of use to him. In short, to Byleth’s survivalist mind, it didn’t. It was too open, on either side, and he was certain it would just blister his skin with the wind, should it come down to it.
He stood there, for a time, in its center, coming to his conclusions.
