deerchild - Vairë - November 06, 2022 The spine. The spine. It was all she could think about, in her fevered, rushed state. Where her family was, where they could be, were they here? She had to know, even as she burned. The infection throbbed hot along her cheek and brow. The wound had cracked with her agitated scratching at it, leaving fresh blood to weep down her cheeks like tears. She burned with rage, with helpless anger. Vairë stood on the borders, dripping blood to mix with the snowmelt, before she opened her maw and yowled for @Kukutux RE: deerchild - Shikoba - November 07, 2022 throwing her in but can delete if you'd prefer kuku to reply first! doing some slight assumptions that shikoba knows vaire here <3
star hunter had not thought of inutsuk during this time, she had forced herself to stay busy. she had shed the skin of a loving wife for now, and her title of sivullik was behind her. she continued to rise and grow, nothing would come between her and the progress made to keep the spine well. she did not sleep tonight. her mind buzzed with many things that she tried not to think about. the voice of someone calling causes her ears to pinpoint the location and the sound. she would be quick to lope in the direction to see who was upon their borders this late into the night. and when she would get there. shikoba could see that the caller was someone of blood from this family upon the spine. it has been what felt to be many moons since she had seen the face of this child. however, shikoba welcomed her back to the spine. while perhaps they were not close, shikoba felt protective over the litter of lote. she was there for their birthday, and she was there when adrastus tried to show his face here before leaving on his own terms a wayward soul come home. the news would be joyous for the spine. RE: deerchild - Vairë - November 08, 2022 i love shikoba it’s an honor
The woman who responded to her call was not Kukutux, but it was a face she knew. Sivullik had met deer child at the borders. Vairë took a single, shaking step forwards, unsure if she was welcome here anymore. They had marked her. They had laughed at her and they had marked her and she didn’t understand anything. She went to a knee. The rest of her body collapsed gracelessly along with her. She leaned forward onto one of her forelegs, tears welling in her eyes, blood smearing onto a limb, and when she spoke, it was aching. They laughed at me. I cannot be fixed. RE: deerchild - Shikoba - November 09, 2022 the child seems tentative, wondering perhaps if she may be ousted from her once-called home. shikoba would do no such thing. a child had returned to the spine. perhaps, not her own, but it bore the blood of a woman she called a sister. to shikoba, that was enough to allow Moonglow to call her wayward soul back. precious child of the morning dove, shikoba would match her step forward, her posture bearing a welcoming appearance. though when she collapses, the woman is quick to rush towards her for aid. shikoba would be there, pressing her body against Vairë to try and ease the ache that seemed to riddle her body. brokenness was something that shikoba knew and felt. it was something perhaps everyone felt in their life. and with the years that continue to place themselves upon the shoulders of the woman, she had come to the answer that brokenness was not an indefinite title. this was not all that fate had to offer. "you were never broken, child." the whisper of a mother comes to reach her ears, and the push of her nose against the neck in a form of providing comfort. she could see the wound, the blood, and how the skin needed to be treated. kukutux was much better with herbs and such, but shikoba could at least get her there. "moonglow welcomes you home, sweet Vairë." |
