He didn't go home, because what was the point even?
His mom was gone. Bjarna remained busy attending to things his mother had once handled. Skáld probably wouldn't miss his shoving in the den.
Dagur convinced himself it was easier out here.
Cold, alone, freezing.
Still too boyish to maintain his own existence out in the world. Yet he tried, as if he might carve himself a place among the stone walls of the lake. As if the twining of his father and mother's blood alone was to make sure he existed in these dark hours of his young life.

Ethan saw the boy. He recognized him as a boy of Kvarsheim. One of Sanjas sons. He knew Ike was friends with Skald, and he knew what Skald looked like, so with process of elimination, he realized this was Dagur. He was much too young to be out on his own out here and Ethan was worried for him. He wasn't sure of how much english he knew so he would try his best to communicate with the boy.
"Dagur!" He called. "Are you ok?" He asked, as he got closer. He asked in icelandic too, since he kinda knew how to "Allt í lagi þú?" (okay you?). He added.
