But just don't tell me what you see - Sokha - December 13, 2022

The wind had brought word to the nebet of some recent changes. One of them being the return of @Charles to the court. In past times, the man had been isolated, absorbed in foolish words and many, countless hours of drinking.

But as Sokha had heard it true, he had begun bettering himself. Though, like any, she wanted to see this for herself.

Roaming the halls of the noble's quarters, she searched for the one that belonged to the neb. Then upon the doorway, Sokha commanded a nearby fellahin to alert the man of her arrival. If he permitted the company, she would enter and begin the plethora of questionings.

RE: But just don't tell me what you see - Charles - December 14, 2022

Charles honestly knew very little of the other nebs and nebets. He knew of course of his wife, Lilitu, whom he still resented for what she had dragged him through and he frequently fantasised of paying her and her stupid little cuddly pack a visit for some sort of revenge. He also knew of the weird dog creature, Gucci, who was friendly but immensely hard for Charles to understand. Though he didn't remember seeing it around recently... Oh well. It made him feel uncomfortable, anyway.

Though he had tried to clean up his act, it was a slow process. Charles still ate a lot of berries, though he tried to dose it so that he wasn't getting totally smashed all the time. At least so he could control himself. It helped him a lot to have to do so much extra training now, like he had promised the Pharaoh, so that he had an incentive to not be wasted entirely at all times of the day. Something was off with Ramesses for sure, but Charles mostly just ignored it, because it was a bit much to think about. When summoned, however, he did go, and he listened to the Pharaoh, though powerless to really change anything.

As he did not have a clear enough overview of who was who, he did not instantly recognise the woman who called for his attention outside his chambers. He did, however, recognise that a fellahin came to him to tell him of her approach, and had had his wits about him enough to ask, just before the fellahin rushed out again, who it was that was paying him a visit.

As such, when the fellahin told her that she could enter, Charles could drape himself majestically across some of the furs that the Pharaoh had granted him, his chin lifted with dignity. Ah, Nebet, the coywolf said, as if he knew entirely who she was, though his heart was racing in his chest because he did not actually have a clue what he was doing — he'd just decided to fake it until he made it. Welcome. Come in. He gestured at some additional furs that were put down across from where he lay himself to invite her to join him.
