Razor - Sovereign - January 10, 2023

AW but perhaps @Adlartok? -eyes- takes place during Arashi & Addy's return thread!

The Crown Prince rested still, occasionally getting up to test her limbs and exercise herself lightly to stay in some form of shape.
She worried for the safety of Hildibrandr, how all of this would impact them...
The girl whined softly now, resting in the mouth of her mother's den while the Fullvalda was reuniting with her dad...
She had not smelled him when she first returned, which probably meant he had went to look for her after she had been gone for longer than normal.

Sov rested her head on her paws, drowsy, and attempted to fall back asleepwhile the adults were talking.

Artok moved closer to the den mouth at the first whine. Arashi and Fury were reuniting so he made the motion clear that he would check on the girl. So those two could talk elsewhere about whatever they wished too.

Golden eyes took her in, behind face of white and he chuffed. As he gently lay a paw across her head and rubbed down. A form of fatherly affection, that he wasn't sure if he should. She was not his to love as a father. She already had Arashi.

The child lifted her head at the chuff to see Adlartok, and her eyes brightened a little as he came and draped a paw over her head.
Sovereign looked at him with wet eyes, "Papa..." She murmured, a nickname to show her own platonic affections for the elder.
Even if she did not see him as father, she could see him as grandfather.
@Fenrir certainly didn't do much to solidify any affections like Adlartok did.
She shuffled a bit closer to Addy, intent to bury her face in the furs of his chest.

She looked bright eyed, despite her issues.

A tightening in his chest. He settled near her, when she pressed against him. His paw along her back.

Hello little warrior. Are you okay?

He knew she wasn't okay, but he wanted her to know she was cared about. That he cared in his own dark way. He made a soft rumble in his chest.

RE: Razor - Sovereign - January 12, 2023

He settled close to her, which she appreciated more than she felt she could say.
Hello little warrior. Are you okay?
Sovereign shook her head with a whimper, taking a breath to steady herself before she tried to explain what had happened.

"I killed...accident, then swarmed...ma-many wolves...one...one...red..." She took another breath, before mentioning Basilica and the life-debt the Dreadfather had said would be owed to him if the pack she had slighted didn't get to her first.

RE: Razor - Adlartok - January 12, 2023

There was a shake of her head and sadness on her face. Artok waited patiently while she tried to steady herself. Her breathing fast and rapid. It hurt him more than he was willing to admit.

Accidents happen. You needn't worry about those wolves, we'll take care of them. He gave a soft soothing noise in his throat. She seemed that she had more to say, so he waited.

RE: Razor - Sovereign - January 12, 2023

Sovereign breathed for a short time to steady herself further before continuing...
"Dreadfather...Basilica...a life-debt, in trade for healing..." She left unsaid the additional if the wolves you slighted don't claim you first that the Dreadfather had added.
It was probably already clear by the look on her face.
"Left. No words. Came...home." She finished, figuring Papa would piece together what she hadn't said.
She couldn't help the flattening of her ears as she rested her head over Adlartok's other foreleg, as if hugging him in a way.

RE: Razor - Adlartok - January 12, 2023

The more she told him the angrier he became. He would have to find these wolves. Rip their throats out or at the very least show them they need not touch what was theirs.

A life debt for healing is foolish and he sounds like an ass.

He soothed her as best he could. I'm glad you came home.

Golden eyes looked her over and tucked her tighter against him. There wasn't much he could say, but he offer a small comfort. Something that had been given to him when he had been laid low and wounded. But he'd have words to say eventually to Fury to Arashi, to the bastard that threatened the little warrior of Hildibrandr.
