ivunigaurak ⊭ - Kukutux - January 11, 2023 @Rhaegal <3
send a good man to me.
this had proven harder than before. but kukutux pressed forward. she was ready to burn with her fire-starter and her husband. she only waited for that time to come, and in the meantime she would search. moonwoman paused to rest at the mouth of a bay, leaving off her hunt to search for fish along the sea ice. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Rhaegal - January 13, 2023 the morning pulls rhaegal away from dragoncrest cliffs, headed south down the coast. he follows the curving snake of the sea, exploring the neutral territories as he goes with the full intention of making the turn back to the cliffs. but he enjoys the stretch of his legs, the leisure of exploring just to explore. a soft noise of surprise is given as he makes his way towards the mouth of stavanger bay, drawn from his errant thoughts by the sight of an ivory pelaged woman in the quickly closing distance. steps slow to a stop and he lets out a low chuff to announce his presence. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Kukutux - January 14, 2023 when she turned, a man was there.
he seemed of good health and comfortable with the lash of the sea. "this woman greets you," kukutux said gently, eyes surveying him with an observant light. "you are from village sapphique, yes?" RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Rhaegal - January 14, 2023 she greets him; literally. he finds the way in which she speaks slightly strange — but not too strange. it's refreshing — and at any rate, he knows his own cadences were strange, likely oft times swaying into the realm of undiscernable. aye, rhaegal replies in response to her question. `m name is rhaegal sveijarn. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Kukutux - January 14, 2023 if those names had once been familiar, now they were not. but kukutux appreciated the detail of the red-tail man. "i am kukutux of village moonglow."
"i have the knowing of sapphique through meerkat. it is a place of mothers and daughters," moonwoman remarked, continuing a slower walk. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Rhaegal - January 14, 2023 the name drop of meerkat makes rhaegal's ears perk. he doesn't know her well, beyond her name and face and the fact that she's his aunt thru marriage but she is nevertheless family. meerkat's my aunt, rhaegal offers. thru marriage.he adds a bit sheepishly in a beat. did you need someone specific ...?rhaegal inquires, letting the question trail off and hang open ended between them. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Kukutux - January 14, 2023 the duck's eyes shone. "i am told meerkat has children now. this makes you akkak."
this moved the man rhaegal higher in her mind, to have kinship ties so close. it also meant that there were women to speak for him perhaps. "i am seeking a husband for my daughter," she said plainly, eyes wondering to his next reaction. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Rhaegal - January 14, 2023 aye, rumbles rhaegal in affirmation, though it was directed at her speak of meerkat's kids — his cousins — and less of the strange word she used for him. akkak. he is familiar with a few languages but that particular word strikes him as foreign. oh,this draws surprise from rhaegal. from how he was raised this is quite unusual but every pack had their own traditions. well, there's a few males unmarried men in sapphique...adults, that is,a small pause and clear of his throat. i'm one of 'em. why he felt a slight sting of embarrassment to admit that, he couldn't say. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Kukutux - January 14, 2023 "but your body is strong. your eyes are clear. you have youth, rhaegal."
but perhaps it was not the way of sapphique to marry their men off. or to only keep those close bound by blood. "is this your want? to have no wife?" RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Rhaegal - January 14, 2023 for a moment, rhaegal is confused at her confusion as she states off what she can see: he's hale, clear eyed. young. well, nae,he says slowly, salmon pink tongue drawling across his jaws. i came here tae start a family.he admits. the idea is beginning to dawn on him that 'hopefully' doesn't have to be in that sentence. many of the women in sapphique ...dinnae seem interested in takin' a husband. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Kukutux - January 14, 2023 kukutux watched him knowingly.
he wanted children. a wife. "no. it is not their way," from what she knew of such fierce women. "tell to me what you want in a wife, rhaegal of the sea." RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Rhaegal - January 14, 2023 her question gives rhaegal pause. admittedly, it wasn't something he'd ever given serious thought to. there were idle dreams of marriage, of bairns. little sveijarns. ah, i dinnae really ken,he admits sheepishly. always believed in true love. that it would grow, nae matter what my wife is or isn't. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Kukutux - January 14, 2023 it was a vague answer but not a wrong one.
kukutux considered before she gave a nod. "if i sang to you, that you should come to village moonglow, would you?" her green eyes took him in. he was one of several choices, but he could be first if he found favor in the eyes of vaire. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Rhaegal - January 14, 2023 if your daughter was interested in meetin' me, aye; i will come.rhaegal replies to her question, giving a soft, sage nod of his head. a prospect was a prospect: even if it didn't work out. surely, he wasn't the only prospect her daughter had. he shifts his weight in the sand, shifting out of the partial shade of the bay's arch and towards the sun so it could warm his back. what's your lass' name? ...if i can ask?but perhaps that was reserved for the actual meeting. RE: ivunigaurak ⊭ - Kukutux - January 14, 2023 last for me! <3
her laugh was a sweet and pretty sound.
"you will know her name if the spirits of moonglow decide that i should make a meeting." her gaze smoothed over the man. "walk with the hunting goddess, sedna," she said to the man rhaegal, before turning back toward home with a lighter step. |
