lend me your ears - Valerius - October 23, 2014

For anyone at The Sunspire! ;)

The Roman had not actively sought out anyone of The Sunspire since he had arrived except for another encounter with the dark Alphess, a slight chill went down his spine at the thought of the black female with vibrant silver green eyes. She had supposedly saved his life, no not his life, she had given him a sanctuary. He was pretty sure he would still have lived even if she didn't accept him that day but giving him the title of a pack wolf, he scowled briefly before the impassive mask with the mischievous look that he always had came back to his face. Now he owed her and he absolutely hated that, he hated owing wolves thing, he had to repay her as soon as possible or it would nag at him every second of his life until he had fulfilled his part. The sneaky Mercury-like part of him thought maybe he could 'accidentally' leap on her and attack her, disguising his scent then run away and come back later as Vale and help her. But that was too sneaky and dishonorable, no, this was bothering him greatly and was not a problem to be solved easily. Ame seemed like a wolf to be able to take care of herself without trouble, and that gave him trouble.

Yes, he was selfish wasn't he?

The wounds was slowly closing up, no longer bleeding though the injuries were clearly visible against him. There were probably going to be a few visible scars when he fully healed but most could not be seen underneath his thick silvery white fur, that was what happened with most of the scars his father gave him. Thinking of Aku brought back bad memories and for a moment, it was that day again, it took all his energy to shake the thought away and return to reality. Vale's mask was perfection for none of his internal turmoil showed through his stony exterior, thanks to Aku and Hadrian. For if any weakness was shone in his old pack, torture and agony would be what you would get and so it was hammered into the young boy to never show any sign of weakness. Mischief, snarkiness was alright if you didn't show weakness, it would mostly hide weakness. Crumbling inside but strong outside? Good.

Leo stood at the edge of the ledge he stayed by mostly at The Sunspire when he wasn't hunting or patrolling. It made good memories of Hadrian and Scipio surface to his mind when he stared at the rushing waterfall and sat by the ledge, gazing into nothingness and lost in the longing. The white wolf was trained to be able to sleep anywhere, survive under any circumstances and always find a way out because there was always a way out. A soft inaudible sigh slipped from his lips, his muscular form the only thing near the waterfall for now. "Where are you, Mercury? Will you guide me to my brother?" he whispered, lips barely moving and only the faintest of sounds drifted out. But other than that, nothing betrayed him, the same emotionless mask dominating his features.

RE: lend me your ears - Rain - October 23, 2014

She is starting to feel weak from the loss of blood as the world starts to blur. Her muzzle stinging from the tear the lone wolf has left her from the top of her snout to the bottom, but her paw is worse. Every step causes her pain, making her wince and clinch her teeth together to keep from crying out. Perhaps she should see a healer, but she doesn't want to admit that the lone wolf has injured her badly enough for that. She is supposed to be strong, perhaps not quick witted, but the victor without serious injury. The loner was a good fighter, to Rain, she should have been in a pack. Not wandering the Tekkon wilds stealing food from pack territories to survive. Anyone would benefit greatly from her skills.

Sitting, Rain studies the torn padding of her front paw. Each time she licks away the blood more flows out, so she can't tell how bad the damage is. She watches the dark red blood drip from her paw to the dirt, leaving a wet drop like the start of a storm. Annoyed, she licks ferociously at the wound while willing it to stop bleeding out. Damn the loner.

Growling low in her chest out of frustration, she gives up on stopping the bleeding and forces herself forward again, slow limping paw step by slow limping paw step. Even though she is prideful of her victory, it did not leave her without any wounds to bare. Sighing, she feels sad that her beautiful light-grey coat is marked again. The first and only scar that she had gained years ago is a constant reminder of the betrayal in her old pack. The new wound on her muzzle will be a reminder of her fist victory for The Sunspire. Which she has to admit isn't all that bad.

Ears swiveled backwards at the sound of pawsteps, damn it, a Sunspire wolf had finally found him. He heard a growl of frustration and the sound of limping, the uneven pawsteps, so, this wolf was injured, huh. He turned around, paws making no sound on the rock, vibrant blue eyes scanned her boredly. A light gray wolf and truthfully, to him, she wasn't too injured. He and all his siblings had much more injuries than she will ever had, thanks to their brilliant father. Though Vale supposed he should thank him for his skills nowadays, the stoic, bored mask, the glint in his eyes that scared away wolves, his brilliant fighting skills.

Twisting his head in a casual manner, he turned to lick at one of the deep scratches the cougar inflicted upon him, it wasn't bleeding too much but it hurt like hell. All the claw scratches did, but trained to never show emotion, he had learnt to swallow to pain long ago. ”Hurt aren't ya?" he called out boredly, a crooked charismatic smile spreading across his features. Leo wasn't completely blind, he knew he had quite good looking despite the scar that marred his face, but truthfully, he had absolutely no interest in this wolf. The silver white youth never had any interest in anyone but a certain dark furred wolf rose to his mind, though a moment later he shook it away.

Leo didn't have time for romance or any shit like that, his main goal right now was to find his goddamned brother and apologize to him. He knew Hadrian probably didn't know he had thought he betrayed him, that he had purposely attacked the silver wolf because he thought that wolf was his brother. Shame coursed through his body but like he did with all the annoying emotions he felt that were unnecessary, he pushed it away. The feeling of shame could wait later, right now, he was going to play with this wounded wolf and perhaps play away his troubles for a bit.

Rain looks up as someone asks a question. "What?" An ivory wolf, licking at a deep wound, turns a smile at her. Holding back a snarl she answers, "Not so much as you, it seems." He is a good looking wolf, even with the scar that marks his face and the annoying little smirk. "You are?" Looking at the deep scratch, she wonders what he had done to earn it. He probably deserved it. She doesn't like the look of this wolf, he seems a bit condescending.

The wolves in this pack! I swear out of the three I've met so far, Amekaze is the only normal one. She really needs to meet more of the wolves here. All of them can't be so strange, glancing at the ivory wolfs smile she adds,or creepy. Flicking an ear, Rain sits while trying not to put too much weight on her paw. She takes on an intent expression as she studies this wolf, not wanting to seem weak in front of this male. Besides his wounds are much worse than hers, not to mention the scars he has compared the single one she has speaks of more battle experiences. She wonders what exactly this male has been through to have earned so many marks. He probably pissed a lot of wolves off with his condescending tone. She narrows her icy blue eyes. Yea, I can definitely see that.

"What?" the gray wolf said. "Not so much as you, it seems." he chuckled softly at that and tilted his head slightly, gazing at her with a half bored, half curious look. "I've been through worse," he said shrugging, "besides I'm perfectly fine. Can hunt and patrol well enough, thats what pack wolves want eh?" the silver white male leaned back against a rock and felt the spray of the waterfall wet his neck fur, it reminded him badly of his younger half breed brother Scipio, but he shook it away. Since this packmate was here, might as well talk with her just to past the damn time. "Valerius Leo Angelus Mortis, at your service, you can call me Valerius, Vale or Leo"] he said, dipping his head briefly in her direction before looking at her again.

"How did ya get into The Sunspire?" he said in a casual attempt to strike up a conversation. Truthfully, he was utterly exhausted and would really like to sleep right now but this was a packmate right here and it would be really rude. Vale was never rude unless it was under extreme circumstances and it wasn't too bad right now, he could keep himself awake for a bit more time.

Rain flicks an ear at Valerius' claim to be 'fine'. An expression of disbelief tainting her features. "Nice to meet you, Valerius." She sniffs in his direction adding, "If you contuine to sit beneath the spray of the waterfall you will start smelling like wet dog. Though, "she snuffs, scrunching up her nose, "it may already be too late to move." The pain from her paw is making her feel temperamental.

Sitting a few feet from Vale she tells him, "Amekaze let me pass into the boarders of the Sunspire." Feeling a little feisty she gives him a sideways glace saying, "How else would I get here?" She wonders if he was meaning her background. Bringing up that topic would only flare her anger and make her even more lively.

Looking at his wounds again, Rain swaps topics. "What did you do to get those wounds?" The wounds and scars make him seem even more.... desirable? That wasn't exactly the word she was looking for, but she admires a wolf who looks to have considerable fighting experience. An image of her past mate pops into her mind. My beloved Kage, this wolf looks just like you. Though Kage had a much more gentle personality than Vale. An audible sigh escapes past her lips and she coughs to try to hide it.
