Little boys that become men - Etienne - January 23, 2023
Etienne left from the den of the wounded and found the nearest water source and submerged his paws, while he sobbed. He had begun to clean it out. Realizing he was the only healer now, left. There was so much that he didn't understand there had been dead and wounded and now he was so far past his breaking point.
He took deep gulping breaths trying to calm himself down. He had made sure no one was around. Stem the tears. He thought of his Manman and how she maybe a little worried about him or upset even with how he was behaving and he couldn't stop the tears, or the big gulping breaths again.
He scrubbed his paws over and over again as hard as he could, rubbing them in sand and then back in the water. There had been so much blood, and bile. There was pus, and sickness. He gagged a little. There was so much sadness so much sadness.
