We are alone under the sun. - Glaukos - February 02, 2023

Glaukos had been welcomed to stay the night upon the mountain. He did not stray too far, as it was not appropriate to study every path or learn the full breadth of the terrain; he kept to a small area among the trees at first, and as night fell he crept from them to a segment of balding hillside.
The sky had deepend. The stars were easy to spot by the time the guardian was situated, although he struggled to relax enough to enjoy the moment alone. Every sound within the trees or scent caught on the wind made Glaukos' ears twitch, or his head swing and eye glint.
It was hard to turn off the effects of his training.
