through the thorns to the stars - Vaska - February 23, 2023 He was a fool, wasn't he? A fool for coming here. Though the golden maiden had spoken an invitation to come to see the healing girl, Vaska had steered clear of Brecheliant in the days that followed Chickadee's rescue. In fact, he'd stayed rather put in Phantom Hollow, with the dark woods and deafening silence to become his company again. His ravens watched from the tree line, hidden like some secret wisdom, though Vex never strayed far from his sight. They had always been enough for him. And yet... And yet, here he stood, on the cusp of Brecheliant again: his fur a little tidier than when he'd first come here, his eyes no more trusting. He could always turn round. Go back to the shadows and the silence of the trees. Go back to the safety of a lonelier place. But his eyes fixed on the unknown that stretched on and on before him here as a rolling grassland sloping up to the sawed-off mount. Quiet. Watching. Not so sure he wished to seal himself here with a howl to anyone who mattered. So his voice didn't go out to anyone at all. AW, he's on the outside of their border! <3
RE: through the thorns to the stars - Maia - February 24, 2023 @Teya had told Maia about the man who helped her daughters and that she had told him he was welcome here. Once again Maia was reminded of how grateful she was to have Teya’s support and guidance assisting her. They were of the same mind on so many things; open, welcoming, and kind. He hadn’t called, but Maia spotted him as she was traversing nearby. At first she was startled, but then she thought she recognized the description. Um, hey! Sorry! Do you know Teya, by any chance? She jogged over, smiling. She wanted to confirm who he was before she really got into introducing herself. If he was who she thought, then she owed him a heavy amount of thanks. RE: through the thorns to the stars - Ceridwen - March 01, 2023 The confirmation of the albino man's identity that Maia wanted was coming from a different direction. Dwin had been inspecting some very interesting tracks on the borders, when she caught sight of her mom passing by. Curious at, what the business was, the girl followed and caught up with her by the time she addressed the strange.
"You!" she exclaimed with mixed emotions. Probably more glad than troubled. Dwin also realized that she had never caught the guy's name and therefore her greeting may have sounded more impolite than it had been intended to be. "Mom, that's the fellow, who helped Dee and called for help," she said, casting glance to the side. "How are you? Anyone else needs saving?" she asked, wondering, why the man was here and what his intentions were. RE: through the thorns to the stars - Maia - March 19, 2023 okay to wrap this since he’s inactive? Just making an assumption or two <3
Dwin came to clarify and Maia looked at the man gratefully, indicating with her muzzle that he should join them. I’d love to hear more about that. Please, at least let us get you something to eat as a thanks. And perhaps a safe place to stay, for as long as you need it.If he had saved her daughter then he was more than welcome in their home. She’d lead the way to find him food and ask as many questions as he’d be willing to answer, sharing her own in return if there were things he wished to know. Dwin would no doubt be able to fill in as well, and at times she would likely fall silent and admire her daughter with pride. She’d grown so much in her time away, and yet she was still the same little girl who faced any situation with bold enthusiasm. Maia would never tire of letting her speak and simply listening. |
