hey! look over there!! *muddies timelines while your back is turned* aww, you just missed it... oh well.
Unbeknownst to the hired assassin, his target had returned to the witch’s pack soon after his first check-in with @Qiao. It was unfortunate because he had been sent out again to find a wolf that would no longer be found in the freelands, and this time the promise was to meet again in two weeks’ time. Of course, this wasted many precious days that could have been spent stalking the wounder of his ward.
Leshen returned to the meetplace, on time and more frustrated than ever. Spring was upon them, and though the cold remained, no snow fell that day to obscure his view of the priestess’ approach.
