madre - Silvertongue - March 12, 2023 it had been many days since silvertongue had sought an end to her body's changing. in the moment, the great harrowing had felt effective. but her figure's thickening flanks had not abated. silvertongue had arrived home some days after @Ash Paw had given birth, keeping to herself as not to be noticed by the others. but she was a leader, and as such she could not hide herself forever. only from crowfeather. and even that was not possible, not wanted. a trout in her jaws, she came to find the woman, nostrils flaring at the scent of milk that tugged vaguely at her own instincts. "buenos dias," silvertongue greeted. "you are doing a hard job. let me feed you."
RE: madre - RIP Ash Star - March 12, 2023 Had Ash Paw known the other woman had wanted an end to her pregnancy she would have done what she could to help. There were many herbs in plateau still from whomever had been there before. She was certain she could have told her how to find them. But she didn't know so she settled into a gentle lull, each day passing by. The little's growing beside her. Ash Paw lifted her head and chuffed a gentle entry sound to the woman. Though she was immediately on edge. It was nothing to do with the silver woman really, it was the newness to the mother and her own prickly nature, having been pulled up tenfold. Hello Silvertongue. Please come in. RE: madre - Enelise - March 12, 2023 Just a cameo so she doesn't get marked inactive. <3
There was a shifting at the large lump that lay above her and she made a loud sound in protest. She had to roll around now. How dare. Little gnashing of open mouth, squeaks sharing her outrage, but she slowly rolled until she was next to this warmth again and inbetween wriggling others. And gave one last really loud squeak and then immediately closed her mouth over a teat and suckled gently. Falling asleep fairly quickly afterwards. RE: madre - Silvertongue - March 16, 2023 the star entered, dragging the fish along. aware of the quick ripple in tension, she kept her distance and only smiled toward ash paw. "i am sorry i was not here for it," silvertongue apologized, elegantly crossing her paws. "was it difficult?" did it hurt? she shoved all other thoughts aside.
RE: madre - RIP Ash Star - March 16, 2023 Ash Paw smiled. No need to worry about that. Was whatever journey you went on fruitful? Ash shifted a little, curling the little ones closer to her while she moved so she didn't upset them too badly. She sighed softly. It was hard and painful, but over quickly and once they were here. It was almost as if I forgot all about it. It's so hard to explain. She motioned at the babies. Belvedere, Enelise, Esma, and Acantha. RE: madre - Silvertongue - March 24, 2023 silvertongue swallowed. fruitful. fruitless. "i found what i wanted," she said with a grin that tried its level best to reach her eyes. now she dropped them away, toward the child. "so this one is enelise?" she asked in a low voice, glancing at the new mother.
RE: madre - RIP Ash Star - March 24, 2023 A soft nod of her head. SHe is by far the most vocal and she seems so angry all the time. I'm not quite sure about it all yet. I am learning.A soft chuckle in her throat. Ash Paw placed a paw over the other's paw in gentle companionship. She didn't know this woman's journey or her battles, but she did know something weighed heavy and she needn't tell her, but she could at least offer that support. RE: madre - Silvertongue - April 01, 2023 silvertongue wanted to jerk away but did not; she tensed but kept her paw under that of the other woman, until finally with a little sigh she turned her digits upward to hold the proffered limb. "i am happy for you, truly i am. but it is not what i wanted for me," silvertongue whispered, voice breaking, lips atremble; she cut her eyes away and fought the welling saltwater.
RE: madre - RIP Ash Star - April 01, 2023 Ash Paw looked her over with knowing eyes. I wondered, but felt it was not my place to ask. Did you seek out any healers? Ash Paw looked her over again and gave a gentle sigh. I know of things still even now as far as it has progressed that could, help, but. Ash Paw took a deep breath and looked away. It wouldn't be pretty and you may die as well. Ash Paw had no judgements. This was not her place to judge. Children was the choice of the woman, and she would not force her own opinions and thoughts on another, especially when Silvertongue could make her own decisions and knew far better than Ash Paw waht she wanted. RE: madre - Silvertongue - April 06, 2023 silvertongue shook her head at that last. "i already tried. and there was — so much blood, the last time." her voice was a whisper. "crowfeather would be empty if i were to die." no. she could not risk it; she must press on. a thought. "but — but if something were to happen, ash paw, would you, ah. nurse them?" the thought, the thought of them living after all of this; a scandal.
RE: madre - RIP Ash Star - April 06, 2023 Ash Paw nodded her head. Yes it isn't easy letting children go from the womb and it doesn't always work. She didn't say that sometimes they could be deformed from a batched medical procedure or that they could have development issues. That seemed something that Silvertongue needn't know, and that was very rare. Most of the time if they survived it they were hard and hale. I can nurse them yes. Also Silvertongue. If you find it too hard to take care of them even if nothing happens let me know. Sometimes, mother's can become very sad after birth. Especially if they were sad to begin with. I will keep them safe for you when you need breaks.Or anytime, but she didn't add the last part, hoping that it was implied. She would not have Silvertongue raise children if it caused her grief. It wasn't fair to the woman. RE: madre - Silvertongue - April 13, 2023 silvertongue nodded, then slipped into tears that went on and on until she was exhausted, her sobs restrained and small and at last she crept closer to ash paw, seeking from the woman something she had not once had but sensed was here in this den: the true love of a mother.
RE: madre - RIP Ash Star - April 14, 2023 Ash Paw shifted so the female could move closer to her. Near her little ones and herself. They were not much different in size, but Ash had enough rotundness to give comfort at the very least the she wolf could bury her face in her shoulder. She hummed softly a small song her father used to sing, and ran a paw over the other wolf's downy leg as it was all she could reach. RE: madre - Silvertongue - April 15, 2023 fading here!
silvertongue at last slept. when the light came again, she would find peace in it, determination for the future she carried. after all, these children would not only belong to crowfeather, but to riverclan, as attached to this hollow as ash paw's would be.
