for babies but also aw!

teya could not get enough of them. and she was three times as busy as before; while one nursed, a second squirmed and the third cried. she cleaned them repeatedly; she smoothed their downy fur; she slept when she was able.
springtime brought a soft downpour, and teya was energized enough to watch the passing storm from the denmouth, glancing back toward where the new pups lay in a slumbering cluster.

RE: oro - Boris - March 23, 2023

Boris slept, until he slept no longer.

He yawned. Warmth surrounded him. Familiar heartbeats shared between them. Each sibling, his size - or roughly so. Yet none were of his mother. They all smelled of her, of course, and usually, this was enough to give him comfort and lull him back into a soundless sleep.

But when Boris awoke today and found his mother gone, he squirmed himself out from their little puppy pile and mewled a soft, questioning cry. The den floor was still warm from where she had laid so he began to seek her by feeling his way towards her, turning about when he felt the cool touch of the den wall and hoping he might soon find her soft fur under paw.

Feel free to decide whether he's going in the right direction xD <3

"boris. uncle borva." she had never said the name aloud, not that she could recall.
and it did not hurt to be attached to little baby boris.
teya righted him and allowed the boy to creep turtle-like back toward her, cleaning the fur along his spine. "you be better than him."

RE: oro - Boris - March 25, 2023

His little nose brushed against another wall, and he nearly cried again, but it was at that moment that he felt a gentle grasp wrap around him. A familiar touch. Boris fell limp in his mother’s jaws until he touched the ground again.

The stroke of her tongue soothed him, as did the soft vibrations that rattled from her. He cooed in response — it may have have sounded like an answer, though he remained deaf and blind to everything but smell, touch, and taste. He crawled forward all the while, on a straight path now towards his ma and the rain touched ground.

"aunt tremelia, she could not do thing with borva," teya went on, nuzzling into the pup's downy fur. "a terrible man. but you will not be this. you have good father in bronco blackthorn."
three surnames she had yet worn.
teya's grin faded slowly into a frown.

He aimed for the rain, but melted at her nuzzle.

Ba! Boris cooed, and let her touch lower him to the ground, where he rolled over of his back and splayed his paws at mama’s face. Ba, he repeated, softer, and would reach for her muzzle to try and give her the peck of a puppyish kiss.

"ba," she said back to him, laughing gently.
so swiftly they grew!
teya began to sing, a rousing tune in a language long unspoken. her tones rusty, but delight clear in the bouncing ballroom ballad.
