by his wife and his three boys - Towhee Jr - April 01, 2023 happy, albeit rather demanding, tippy-taps of paws come from towhee jr the moment she wakes up and reluctantly eats breakfast ( because she wants to explore! ). it's her way to signal that she wants to adventure because she does not yet know the ptero word for it yet. but she was still very young and was only starting to grasp it. barely. perhaps her unnatural gift for having learned a very select few, basic, ptero words came from her ... physical disadvantage of being deaf ( and mute but she didn't know that either ). a way of her brain overcompensating for the sense(s) she didn't have. like her heightened sense of smell — or maybe @Sable's farts were just that awful. but body language! she was learning that so quick. social cues gleamed from her father, mother, phother and older brother. the constants besides sable. another set of demanding tippy-taps of her paws; impatient. RE: by his wife and his three boys - Sable - April 02, 2023 His sister was tapping again. Sable peeled his head away from his after-breakfast game of chewing on his toes to look at her dark form by the doorway. He let out a wheeze of a noise, wobbling to his feet and trundling over to his sister. His ratty little tail waved, and he moved to paw at her briefly, a simple acknowledgment of her continued existence. RE: by his wife and his three boys - Towhee Jr - April 02, 2023 her tippy-taps didn't ( at least not immediately ) garner jr the attention of any of the nearest, ever watchful adults ... but it did grab sable's attention. and though it did not mean she could go out, at least she wasn't likely to be bored. she 'yips' — a noiseless, harsh push of breath — at him and tries to nip at the paw that pawed at her. if she couldn't go out ... then maybe she could wrestle! |
