I'm still just hanging around - Callum - April 18, 2023 Callum had yet to find a pack. He wondered if perhaps he'd be more successful trying to find wolves and befriend them, and perhaps start his own pack. He knew it was something he wanted to do, but he kinda wanted more of a family-based pack than a friend-based one, but friends can become family, so maybe he'd be down for that. He hoped to find someone else wandering these mountains this day. He sat down beside a small river to relax. RE: I'm still just hanging around - Solveig - April 28, 2023 Solveig roamed away from the Keep, her mood brightened considerably by the thrill of travel. With each day she watched Spring grow and change the land, each territory and biome coming into its own at a pace that was unique to it. She felt buoyant and energized, ready to roam and recruit wolves to join the pack that was ready to grow. She’d begun to become aware that Spring was having an effect on her as well- but she hadn’t felt this light and positive in some time. She was willing to put aside reason, and allow herself to simply exist. When she spotted him, she mistook him and halted, her breath fetching in her chest. From behind, with his brown fur highlighted with honey at his shouders, he could have been an exact match. Her heart pounded in her chest. She drew closer, tentatively, moving quietly so she might catch a glimpse of his face so she could be sure. The scent wasn’t right, but still- she had to hope! The longer she looked at him, the less familiar he became. And when she saw his features and the white patch on his chest, she knew that she had been wrong. She felt grief and remorse flood through her, as well as the stubborn feeling of denial. It would have been too perfect if Torbin had left the pack, and come to find her and Thyra. This certainly wasn’t him…But he might be useful, nonetheless- and she felt serendipitous enough to flirt with his attention- calling out with a low chuff as she approached. |
