repetition - Morgaine - May 15, 2023

all welcome.

darkness pressed close from either side. all that remained to her right was rubble, while the rank stench of claimed territory wafted in from the left. horribly uninterested in any of it, she pressed herself against the narrow channel that separated them and sent up an unreceived prayer that she be left to her own devices.

before she could finish the thought the ground beneath her gave way. she scrambled up the crumbling slope as stone cascaded down into the riverbed. prey with sense fled before they had the chance to register what had happened, though as she found her footing she had the sinking feeling that someone else might get curious.

RE: repetition - Svalinn - May 19, 2023

Worry had driven Svalinn this far out from the Sound. Phaska and Stelmaria were no-shows at the agreed upon meeting place, and he had expected them at the beginning of spring. Though it pained him to abandon his post, he figured he could expel some pent-up negativity via a bit of scouting.

Upon crossing the river that split the coast, the aurous trawler decided to call off his search, suddenly paranoid that the girls had returned to the Sound at the exact time he left to find them. Still damp and surly, he ventured deep into the forest for a hunt and a nap before resuming his trip home. Hopes to eat were dashed, however, when Svalinn’s ears turned at the sound of rocks falling and splashing. He ventured towards it, scowling.

There was a wolf there -- her fur color difficult to determine in the dusklight -- but the bite of poisonous green eyes were impossible to miss. He looked her up and down. She appeared uninjured, but it wouldn’t hurt to find out for certain. Think you can keep it down out here? Of course, teasing was the only possible way to get an accurate reading. Some of us are trying to hunt.

RE: repetition - Morgaine - May 20, 2023

sometimes she felt like she had the power of premonition, but it was only after the thing happened that she could name it such. she could not help the annoyance that clawed up her throat, but she forced it back down before she bit his head off.

morgaine could not tell if he was joking. she turned the words around a few times before she offered up a response. good luck with that now. the bank beneath her threatened to buckle again, but she side-stepped before her weight would cause it to drop.

i reckon anything you could've caught has booked it somewhere else.
