She had been asleep for a long time, as soon as Akavir and Arric had left her to her own devices. On burning legs, she had explored until the scents of her newfound packmates were faint and she collapsed when her body could carry her no longer. An open bed of indigo was her resting place for the time being, until the sun had sunk below the horizon and the stars were her blanket.
When she awoke, a shockwave was her greeting. Warm, so warm, tight within her abdomen and enough to make her breath shake. Her eyes fly open, mouth dry and agape and searching for answers.
She was no longer a virgin. That she knew. But the desire she had felt in those moments was nothing in comparison to this. All-consuming, nearly exhausting her all over again with how powerful it felt. Body against mind - a mind that recognized the lack of desire to bear children - and a body that screamed for relief in a way that nearly clouded all logic.
A crashing ocean, dragging her under, and there was nothing she could do to stop the saltwater that plugged her nose.
What was there to do? She just got here, just joined this pack's ranks. What the hell would they think if she ran for the hills? Maybe she could escape, pretend she never came here in the first place. Maybe they'd forget she'd been here at all.
As she sits up and parts her hind legs, there is a trickle of crimson that oozes and falls down the inside of her thigh. She wipes it away with a forepaw. A cruel reminder of her inescapable fate, and all she can do is start to cry. Hot and wet and unforgiving, a lonesome sob that no one would hear.

At least this probably meant she wasn't pregnant, right?
