And so her Journey Begins.. - Sirris - June 02, 2023

The white wolf gazed over the edge of the cliffside, grey eyes focused solely on what resided beneath her. She had not seen another wolf for quite sometime, having recently found herself within these new lands. She wasn't born in these lands, she was a stranger, a young and desperate stranger in search of a new home where she would be loved and respected. She missed the comforts of her home, her friends and her beloved mate of whom abandoned her for his own pack. She would not blame him for his misdeeds, for she had loved him with all her heart and had no room within herself to detest someone of pure heart. For the pack was his home, she had to move on, just like she had so many years ago when she found herself in her mates lands prior to meeting him.

She found her gaze to be long and distant, a silent shake of her voice indicating her sorrowful frame of mind. She had to leave yet another pack out of fear for her own life, she had nowhere else to go. The pain she suffered whilst in the ranks of her second pack was what drove the fae to leave her friends behind within the The Citadel's territory. She had to flee, she had no other choice, though the night was still young, she had plenty of time to find a new place to rest. Possibly find some new wolves within this new and strange land. Would there be any scents within the air? Would she find herself face to face with a new wolf? Or was she alone within this new and strange place?

She felt no wind upon her pelt, the atmosphere around her was dead silent, there were no trees scattered about, just grey stone mountains as far as the eye could see. If she were to strain her eyes, Sirris may see the darkness which cascaded down the mountain, faint sight of grassy fields just bellow her. The sky was clear, not a cloud to be seen, save for the crescent moon which which shone brightly within the sky. The moon the only light source within plain sight, the beauty of the stars shining bright within the sky, the only pretty things that her dull grey eyes could gaze upon. There was a slight chill in the air, not a surprise given the fae stood upon the tall mountains within these new lands, though nothing her Arctic coat could not protect her from.

She silently gazed at the sky, searching for those small little shapes one may see now and again. Her eyes landing upon many triangular shapes, faint and gentle light twinkling from those small and beautiful dots within the clear midnight sky. Sirris would let out a sigh, the sad and lonely sound emerging from within her throat, driven out into the air around her. She would need to find a new home soon, though that she was certainly unaware of as she sat there underneath the faintly bright moonlit sky. The large open space which was that somewhat dark moonlit sky was unlike anything one could ever witness any further within their lifetime. The world seemed large, but the sky appeared so much vast then anything her eyes would ever gaze upon.

RE: And so her Journey Begins.. - Meylodi - June 02, 2023

As large as she was, the black Alfa was silent on her paws. They carried her with a confident grace she'd had since she was a wee lass, all the way back to the beloved natal pack that had given it to her. Frostcrest, they called themselves, a band of honorable bandits that still spoke to her heart and soul as if she hadn't left. Yet here she was, far from the lands of her birth, and what an adventure it had turned out to be. A grin couldn't help but find its way onto her face.

Her silence, however, was broken by something she'd never done before: a gentle voice slipped out of her, perhaps preparing those yet to come of what they could expect.

Yer gunna 'ave so many stories ta listen to, she chuckled to her bloated belly, taking a moment to pause and give her shoulder a quick lick. Meylodi couldn't reach her stomach. I'll fill yer heads with Gran's words as she filled mine, an' yer ne'er gonna ferget where yer mam came from. We small, mo pháistí, but we plenty enough fer ya all. Ya ne'er gunna go hungry like and yer ne'er gunna pine fer anythin'. An' I gonna pertect cha all we me very aun teeth if me have ta. Ain't no one touchin' ya tat shouldn't. Bannit's honor. That gave her pause, but she continued. Bannits we be not, nor am I. After all, it wouldn't be proper to say the contrary when they had yet to formally introduce themselves to the packs up and down the mountain range.

The only thing she'd stolen over the past year had been the heart of her mate, which she had left sleeping for once in his life to go about and get some fresh air. Their den was beginning to get cramped, and it certainly would feel more so in the coming weeks.

Thus the young mother found herself upon Raven's Watch, not far from her pack and where her new life had begun. No scent upon the motionless wind and the moon bright upon her pelt. Her golden gaze was set not on an overhead sky but on the brighter pelt of a white lass upon her borders, fragile and yet to be written in stone as they were.

Hallo? her voice carried every ounce of her authority in a single word, she was rather proud of herself for it. Ain't seen ya 'roud befere - what be yer name, lass?

Dull grey eyes cast themselves upon the vast grey sky, each star twinkling as bright as the next, her long tail swaying ever so softly in thought. It had been sometime since she had found herself a home, a place in which the fae had belonged, the longing was grand, though the longing for her homeland had a far deeper pull. The faint sound of a voice would reach her ears, accompanied by an authoritative voice, causing the wolf to turn her head and gaze off behind her into the night.

Curious grey eyes would land upon what appeared to be a black pelt, piercing yellow eyes staring back at her. Sirris would turn around completely, dipping her head at the wolf, assuming she had some sort of authority over these lands in particular. Sirris would hesitantly let out a small chuff in greeting, remaining low as to not provoke the other. "Solutions, This ones title iz Sirris of forrign lands. Though I do preferr Sirri. It iz lovely to meet thee." Sirris would utter, a slight accent emerging from within her throat, rolling her 'r's as she spoke. Her gaze remained gentle, tail curled back in submission as she slowly stared up at the other female in curiosity.

She had come from cold lands, the mountains a place of her birth, her arctic blood running deep within her birth pack. She longed to live in a place like that once more, of snow and great history. Her homeland was vast and had great history, the stories her mother had told her something she would never forget. Stories she would happily pass down to her future pups and those within a pack should she join one once more. She looked to this wolf, grey eyes roaming the others body, noting the puppy bump on the darker female though she would turn her gaze back down.

As it 'app'ns, I wasn't barne 'ere either. Seeri? Excitement rose within the mother-Alfa as she heard the word slip past her tongue, and... it wasn't too far from the name that the white fae had uttered. Unlike Moorhen and Kiche, two other members of the pack. Meylodi could only hope that she would get to the point she could find a way to bend her words to say their names correctly. Her voice's lack of name-saying grace irritated her greatly, despite how smoothly and gently words flowed otherwise.

Her frame stood tall, slightly wincing as one of the pups decided her rib hadn't gotten kicked in a while, and that was completely, utterly unacceptable. Endearing, in a way, but she wouldn't miss their quickening.

Despite the leader's stance, she radiated an aura of the warmth of a mother, wrapped in frost—a rugged, surefooted beauty with a thick coat of spilled midnight. The Alfa wasn't aggressive, but nor would she back down if it came to a fight, belly full of pups or not.

She dipped her head, acknowledging the submission with a chuff. It was new - not even the she-dog in their to-be-formed ranks had done such a thing, though perhaps Kiche didn't know how yet. Me name be Meylodi. Might I sit an' lis'en ta yer tale?

RE: And so her Journey Begins.. - Void - June 02, 2023

Void had headed out in the territory when he caught the scent of his mate and a strange wolf nearby. Hackles raised, he approached. He held a dominant pose at first, but then when he saw the two conversing, he relaxed some.

Hello.” He said with a dip of his head. “Are you interested in joining our pack?” He asked. “I’m the other Alfa, Meylodi’s mate, Void.” He introduced himself

Her soft eyes would linger towards the darker females stomach, perhaps noticing Meylodi's discomfort? Or perhaps not, simply curious about the puppy bump  which she had the pleasure of seeing. She found it cute, a soft and warm wolfish grin sliding across her small and fluffy white face. The sight brought her calm and joy. Hearing that Sirris was not the only foreign wolf to these lands brought her much comfort, finding it less overwhelming as of now. Sirri could almost feel the warmth radiating from the expecting mother, finding it much easier to communicate with the older fae.

Sirris would nod her head at the questioning of the white faes name, making it known that she in fact did pronounce Sirris' nickname correctly. The head dip was a sign of respect, something she had adopted from her first pack, a gesture she had grown accustomed to, as well as her way of speaking. She was a very respectable wolf, was fairly kind to those around her. Thus she acted in such a way that some may have found her gestures quite strange. At the other faes introduction Sirris would tilt her head for a moment, ears rotating about before nodding her head and offering a wolfish grin and a wag of her tail.

"Greetings, Meylodi, she-wolf of foreign lands. Da, thou art fit to sit beside Sirris. Come, sit. Sirris is happy to share a tale." Sirris grinned, nodding her head at Meylodi's question, more then happy to allow the alphess to come sit beside her and listen to the arctic wolfs tale. If it was a story that the darker wolf wanted then it was a story that Sirris was happy to give the the fellow foreign wolf before her. Sirris was a friendly fae, was happy to have some company beside her. Though she would stop for a moment, turning her gaze to another stranger upon catching anew scent coming towards the pair. At first he seemed upset though as he moved closer he seemed to calm. At his words the fae would tilt her head, voice soft as she spoke. "Grreetings, alpha Void. It iz a pleasure to meet thee. Sirris is search of a new pack, indeed." She offered a dip of her head towards him too.

RE: And so her Journey Begins.. - Meylodi - June 02, 2023

One day, I be aut by meself an' let 'im just sleep away 'til I return. Dat 'ard? What 'e e'en be doin' aut 'ere? The smaller of the two dark Alfas thought with a slightly bitter tone. Her mate hadn't slept in days during the formation of their pack, and it showed in his unkempt fur and his insistence on not letting her out of his sight while heavy with his children. Guess she hadn't slipped away as quietly as she had first assumed, or the cold that had grown beside him was too great to bear.

Yet despite her longing for him to sleep and look as handsome as the day she met him, she sighed dreamily, giving him room to sit beside her. The nodding at her name left the fae happy. Final'y, a name tat don't confuse me tongue! It was always a rare treat when it occurred.

Oh, do tell ta story. I be mighty curious.

A story for a pretty night sky.
