Thoughts on the Wind - Hviske - June 14, 2023 All Welcome! @Creed, this is mostly because I need to post, least he goes inactive c:
Hviske had caught his second rabbit since he'd gotten to this part of the land, consuming it quietly while he waited for his companion. He liked thinking over food; it gave the mouth something to do, so the head could focus. Pack-scent drifted across the land, and in the mind, Ma kept at her insistence that he was not by himself; to find a pack, to care for him in her stead. Yet he wasn't alone, so she could hush as much as he loved and missed her. How could he ever hope to replace them? Maybe that wasn't what he needed, no. Hviske would never merely replace his family. Toss that thought away, young man. Creed was, well - she was there, wasn't she? The only wolf he knew here, one that let him stay at her side like a misguided pup she'd adopted. She'd never be his blood-mother, but she was certainly the closest thing he had at the moment to a pack he felt comfortable with. His thoughts seem to have shifted recently, from inadequacy to the thought of memorizing many names and faces. He took another bite of his rabbit, one leg over its body to prevent it from moving. RE: Thoughts on the Wind - Starlette - June 14, 2023 Hello!! That was the best way to introduce yourself to new people, and a new person is just who Lette found today! She’d been minding her own business (lonesome business, might she add) when she’d come across his scent trail further down the way. Well, she had followed it alright until she realized her nose must’ve been a little off. He was a while boulder jump below her, and she peered over the edge at him from up above. I could totally land that. But she didn’t think crashing landing on a stranger’s dinner was the best way to meet a new person, so she’d be content up here for a little while — until, at least, she knew his name. RE: Thoughts on the Wind - Hviske - June 18, 2023 Sorry! I didn't hit subscribe and wasn't notified, or I'd have responded earlier:<
The Shepherd had brought new paws, and a new voice to his ears, ones that had Hviske's own perking and swiveling to find the source. Another bite of his rabbit down his throat and he looked around. Huh?he started, before finally looking upward. The fur on his back and neck stood at attention for a moment. That... wasn't... Creed... Hello?his voice was soft, quiet, spider-silk. He gathered his paws under him to get a better look, his grey head tilting and his nose sniffing fiercely. No... pack-scent, and a yearling, like him. Were they both in a similar situation? It wouldn't be a bad plan to get her name, right. Who... are you? |
