flower gleam and glow - Turmeric - August 29, 2023 The world was beautiful, even if he often looked at it through sleep deprived eyes. Merry wouldn't have traded his daughters for all the sleep in the world. They were parts of what made the world beautiful, they and Inkeri together. He hummed through the aspens today, jaws tight with branches bearing late summer berries -- a treat on a particularly balmy day, and perhaps a lesson, too, if his daughters would have it. When he neared @Inkeri's den, he almost shoved his fluffy face right in to give her and their daughters many kisses on their cheeks. But somehow he found the will to restrain himself. He plopped the berries down, and then followed suit, stretching out in one of the soft shadows around the den. He'd wait till they woke up and poked their faces out to meet him. RE: flower gleam and glow - Inkeri - August 29, 2023 There had been many changes to Inkeri and her small family. Both good and bad. But they were wrapped there now in silent familial bliss and she loved it. The affection that Merry so readily gave was what she had missed growing up. It was a nice feeling knowing you were loved. Hello Merry. Merry!she called out as they bustled from the den. Fjola - Fjola - September 04, 2023 fjola awoke from a light nap when her mother rose. blinking timidly, she followed, steps clumsy, yet careful as she could manage. she trailed behind, and part of her curiously wondered if her sister would follow to see what was happening too, but she was mostly interested in finding out for herself. she peeked out from behind inkeri’s legs as she greeted turmeric, and though the pale puppy remained where she stood, her tail began beating the air eagerly at the sight of her father, staring with wide blue eyes. she glanced briefly at the berries he’d placed on the ground, feeling torn between lingering where she was or going to sniff at them, but she ultimately remained still for now. |
