the hunters crossed the borders, a trio of pale men whom chakliux led to the place ariadne lay in recovery. "she keeps her spirits high. it will be good for her to see that she is not alone. i bring you as friends. kannoyak carried her here," the seal hunter noted, before he paused at the threshold to the healing-den and cleared his throat with politeness.

Chakliux's voice roused Ariadne from her nap. Slowly, she lifted her head and rubbed away the sleep from her eyes.
Come in,she invited with a yawn, her voice light despite her drowsiness.

"three hunters come. a woman lies to heal. one day," he sanf out in a tease, "she will run with the three snow hunters. she will eat blood with them."
