I am not a legend, I'm a fraud - Mae - October 10, 2023

Vague on her last thread! Mae rolled a 7 @The Harvester
This time when she came to the forest where she'd found that girl, Mae did not turn back. Even as night fell over the place and it was filled with the haunting calls of foxes, she was undeterred, trotting through the woods with single-minded focus. It'd been awhile since she'd last stopped. There was no reason to stop.

All Mae wanted was to get out of the valley. She wouldn't rest until she was well into the mountains — and even then, she wasn't sure she would find peace until they too stood between her and her old home. Whatever was on the other side, Mae hoped that it would help her forget all about Swiftcurrent Creek and her father. She missed him. And she hated herself for that.

sopping chunks of pus and blood seeped from the mangled, blended mix that was once an eye. gnats eagerly fled to the infected stench of ripe discharged, and in this he let them.

for he was hunting, and his pursuit of youthful flesh did the burning pain fade away. it was replaced only by feral, primitive desire.

a thirst like none other, that scratched it's way up from the pit of hell and into the throat of a sinister serpent. it was this that clawed him after feminine aroma.

she was young, just the way he preferred.

Fading since The Harvester is inactive <3
She was already a mess from her encounter with that awful boy, already wounded beyond what she could manage by herself. Mae knew she should have run. But she was just so tired of being pushed around.

The man came for her, and she fought with every ounce of strength still left to her. Later she would not remember any of it, or even anything about him. Nothing but the blood. Blood, and finally running, finally fleeing into the mountains where she was certain she would die.

Maybe that would be for the best.
