Shoot the dog - Silvermane - November 16, 2014

@Slade
Sorry the introduction is sort, hes just bleeding to death right now.. so not alot I can do
Silvermane had been lying there for an hour now, any infection that might come had already made its task, and Silvermane had been whining, the blood had been slowly seeping out, whenever he moved it, he had to cry out, or swear in pain. His body felt damp, and he thought that if he only had just not talked to the crazy bitch, he would surely have been fine...

Its not like I have to amputate it... right? he thought, the mention of it brought furious fear to his heart, he loved this leg... Its my lucky leg! he collided to the floor with his head once again, panting, the sun had heated him up to a oven.

RE: Shoot the dog - Ashton - November 16, 2014

Quote: Silly Alex, you tagged Slade. Ashton is the Healer. xD

Salt. Necessary for preserving meats, drying herbs, and a long lasting ingredient that stayed with you for time's turbulent paths.
Seas. Seas have salt. Why not go to the sea?
Good idea.

Ashton left the pantry that he had put a few basil stems amongst, and made his way up the spiral stairs, and through the den door. He knew where the sea was. Hell, every wolf knew where the sea was. They could hear it for miles. And though it's a shitlongofajourney hell of a walk, getting salt was totally worth it. He came across the fallen slab of log he had been knawing on for a good two weeks now, and grinned triumphantly as his crude little bowl was finished. Picking up the durable wooden tool, he continued on his way, noting the ground changes.

Dirt slowly transitioned to sand, and soon the sand was the entire ground. Dunes overtook his view, and grassy orbs went straight to the back, where the waters caressed the sandy beach. "SALT! " Overly joyful, as usual, the sunny pelted blonde made his way to the water, amd lowered his heavy but hollow instrument. He scooped up its fill, turning around, and placing it out of waves reach. Then, he dived in.

Holy mother of Socrates' s foot fetish, the water was freezing.
Outoutoutoutoutoutout.
out.
OK, We're good.

It was that moment in the middle of a goot hide shaking, that Ashton heard a yelp.
Came from that wad of white boulder over...
Wait, white boulders arent a natural element of a beach...
Wolf?

Ashton made his way to the white hunka rock, amd found out indeed, it was not a boulder, but a fellow lupine. One with a leg that looked like a destroyed deer carcass.

"Sup, dude, ya not lookin' too hot, over here. "

Oops x3
Silvermane had been woken up from his pleasant dreams by a call, and as his eyelids had begun to open again, the pain had begun again, his mouth was dry, and hungry, and with the sweltering sun , he had no choice but to die uncomfortably. Fuck... it hurts The animal which had woken him was another strangely coloured wolf, which he did not recognise. Help... he whined, his body aching from pain, the leg stiffening, and the flaring spiking up again, while he started to lose feeling in his fore leg. stop.. the blood.. and the pain.. he rasped, his voice light from the pain

Get.. Poppy he choked, tasting blood, seeds he continued, feeling more and more in pain with every word I need wate- he said, but couldnt finish as his head slammed against the floor, unconscious from the pain

RE: Shoot the dog - Ashton - November 17, 2014

God, this dude was out. He needed every bit of medical attention he could get. The hesitant chunk of him said to take him to the Caldera, where he could operate on him, but the smart part of him said
HEEEEEEEELLLLLL NAAAAAWWWWW,
called him an idiot, and forced him into medical mentality.

Examining the wound, he ignored the request for poppy seeds, knowing how pain could make a lupine delusional.
And apparently, suicidal.
There were definitely arteries torn, but it seemed as if only one was completely torn. The others were mildly ripped, but otherwise, unharmed.
As for the muscle, nerve damage was blatant and any fool could see whoever savaged his leg had done it with no mercy. Under the mass of bloodied meat, he couldn't even tell if the bone was broken or not.

"Alright, dude, I'm gonna go snag some shit for ya, I need you to not black out, alright? Focus on the pain. It'll keep you awake. Stay. Awake."

Hell, last thing he needed was the patient slipping into a coma, or just dying.
Summoning the acceleration he could from his lean and athletic fours, the golden pelted teen sped from this place to that, combing the woods, brushing the forest, and scouring the Wilds for medical utilities. Underneath the rotten logs, he got the proper shrooms that would place his patient to sleep, a sort of slumber inducing fungus, along with webs, dried pieced of dead wood, the seemingly last bundle of milkweed, and a wad of spiderwebs he had come across on the way back.

The doctor-to-be raced back, not even exhausted from the run, but pumped to help the dying wolf.

"Here dude, eat these. It'll give you a nice warm place away from the pain for a few hours."

Ashton placed the blue capped fungal growth by the dagger like jaws of his patient, shaking him, attempting to wake him up to take the meds.

"Cmon bro, take the shrooms. "

RE: Shoot the dog - Silvermane - November 17, 2014

Dull the pain.. he tried to say, but the young wolf ran off, and Silvermane had to wait, the leg. As he left, Silvermane tried to close his eyes, it hurt abit, but he did for a second, and when they were open again, he was being shook by the golden male, and there were fungi near his face.

Smart boy, this is better than poppy he thought, and took the shrooms inbetween his jaws, the poppy was supposed to dull his pain, but this took high to a whole new level. Yet, as he tasted it lightly, it was not one who would put him into a physcedelic trip, and strangely enough, Silvermane did not recognize this one, and he kept it in his mind, Blue cap, Small, and he quickly remembered, If that boy made a mistake... hopefully it was not a poison, and with that Silvermane closed his eyes and slowly made his way into painless sleep, or so he thought, as his leg slowly twitched before his vision faded black.

The caps did their work, and very efficiently. Waiting until the lupine entered the deepest cavern of sleep, Ashton immediately went to work. Dashing over to his bowl of saltwater, he clutched it carefully in his jaws. The salt water would sting pretty bad, which wouldn't be detectable while under early work of the shroom.
The golden teen lapped a bit of the water, sterilizing his own tongue. He gargled the bitter mixture, and set to work.

The remaining fur tufts were roughly cleaned, and thoroughly the bacteria were removed. .. well, already as much as a sanitized wolf tongue could get it. After cleaning the wound, Ashton poked and prodded the wound, picking up the limb and setting it down, finding the awkward way in which it bent.
It was broken.
He was totally unprepared for that.

Finding where the bone was shattered, the sandy doc memorized the point, and raced to comb the beach for remaining leaves of seaweed, and Ash supposed Mother Nature was pleased with him, because he found shitloads of the washed up stuff. Arriving back to the knocked out wolf, the golden pelted dude committed to paint the wound up with the picked milkweed, its peroxide effectively bubbling the rest of bacteria from the deep gash. With precision, he swiftly applied the Web he picked up with every 3 tightly wound wraps of the seaweed on the leg.
3 wraps, Web. 3 more wraps, ; Web.
He hoped the weed would hold for months, but the bandage would obviously need to be replaced every few weeks.

Ashton looked down at his handiwork, and sighed.
He hoped luck would stay on his side.
Cleaning up his mess, the teen went to go hunt a meal for the resting patient.

RE: Shoot the dog - Silvermane - November 18, 2014

Silvermane had been dreaming, his body tensing, and relaxing, as in his dreams he had died, and arrived in eternal hunting grounds, where forever, he would hunt with the Hircine, in his eternal hunting grounds. His jaws had been chewing the flesh of a pray that he had hunted, but in reality was chewing a mix of his own blood and the mushrooms, imitating him eating a poor prey's guts.

Then, Hircine turned around, and all the other dead wolves ran past, and he gazed for a moment, before speaking. "emit ruoy toN.." it said slowly "Your not yet worthy" before being kicked off into a endless tunnel, filled with his dead relatives, friends and lovers, blood smearing their corpses. A eye grows to him, and it buzzes, all the voices of the people he loved joined in, the words forming "UOY ETAH I", while a slimy burgundy tentacle began to wrap itself around his foreleg

Silvermane woke up, and he looked at his leg, where the feeling of wet sea still held, and for a second he still believed to be dreaming, before he kicked it off, he realized it was a makeshit bandage, and remembered the young wolf, Where was he?, before he closed his eyes again, to rest from the dizziness, as his head was spinning

RE: Shoot the dog - Ashton - November 18, 2014

Ashton heard the stirring, and not too soon, , for he was on his way back with a haunch of deer leg clutched in his narrow jaws. Returning back to his place beside the originally thought 'white boulder', the golden teen sat it down before the Un knocked out bro.

"Welcome back to the world of the living, bro. Ya feelin' a bit better, now? "

Curious emeralds shown in the darkening light of the beach front, wondering if his little operationwentsuccessful.

RE: Shoot the dog - Silvermane - November 19, 2014

Ugh... he said as his head was spinning about, but with his nose he had immediately recognized a piece of meat, which caused him to lick his teeth, he was hungry, but he did not know if it was for him or the teen, because out of everyone, the teen must have deserved it the most anyway, He let out a light bark and nudged it his way, asking Yours? before gazing at him, politely

RE: Shoot the dog - Ashton - November 19, 2014

◆Dude I hate posting with the wrong character. xD◆

Shaking his blonde pelted noggin, Ash declined. He had devoured a rather nice and may chunk of deer that had fallen by natural causes. He was grateful for its deadly deadline, cause otherwise, the duo would be outta luck and starving.

"Nah, have at it, bro. I stuffed myself back there. Just try not to scarf it all down, cause I don't know how to remove a leg bone from a throat. "

A light and airy chuckle left his lips. Isn't conversing about a possible death such a great topic ta talk about, Ash? You obviously like freaking people out.
Stop the weirdness bruh.

RE: Shoot the dog - Silvermane - November 19, 2014

I know right?! XD

Silvermane nodded quickly extremely gracious for the meal, and slowly sunk his teeth into the flesh of the deer leg, and began to tear its surface, its salty taste fluttered his dry tongue with taste, and he began to lap up the blood into his mouth, he was no vampire, but every piece of food he could get was welcome. With both hands he pushed his jaws away from the meat, and its muscle slowly ripped, the meat clenched in his mouth, the blood covering his maw he chewed furiously, his teeth slowly piercing the strong and raw meat in his mouth, and he licked his lips, and before he dug in to the next meal, he glanced a quick "Thank you" smile, with eyes closed, before he continued to ravash the meat. The pain in his leg subliming, he felt a spike of worry "Wait.." he quickly asked "am I ever going to walk again?!" he asked, tensing, his entire life he had found most joy on hiking, the only times he could be truly in a void-like home, and the only way he could get to his real home was by foot too, and it was a full on steep hike. The thought of never coming home had struck a pin in his heart, and he had held back from showing any signs of emotion, but a quick loose of emotions was shown, which he hoped the teen had not noticed.

RE: Shoot the dog - Ashton - November 19, 2014

◆yea I gotcha. Try replying to a post while trying not to get caught in class, and hoping you're on the right character out of 6 others you have. God, just gahh. Lolz. ◆

Ashton, being a doc who focused primarily on others, couldnt helt but notice the swift spread of emotion across the pale lupines face, even if the sorrow was brief.
The hippie assumed it was in anxiety of possibly losing his leg.

"Well, muchacho, I did everything with what I could. I woulda tried to take ya back to the Caldera because thats where my proper med stuff is, but I've already fucked up twice with bringin a loner to the borders, the latest being some ungrateful dark charcoal dame with orange eyes and a shredded shoulder. I'm just glad Fox said no, or else I woulda kept bein as naïve as I usually am with the wounded. But never mind that, cause ya smell like a pack wolf, let alone look like one, so bleh."

Ashton gave him another once over with his foresty irises on the patch up job he did on the wound.
Not bad, for random materials.

RE: Shoot the dog - Silvermane - November 24, 2014

Well, thanks to Wolf I got detention >:P

Silvermane flicked his eyes up, and said softly How will I get home? he whimpered, hoping that he could either walk himself, or be carried, because he would have to get home somehow, he was no lone wolf, and he needed more constant care, and he was sure this teen would not stick around much longer.

How would he get there? Silvermane's own supplies were there, so he had to find a way, he whined abit, and let himself tear off a bit of the leg, and chewed, trying to chew out his own problems

RE: Shoot the dog - Ashton - December 02, 2014

◆my god, just all the late. All of the late. All of it.◆

Ashton watched the sands near shore drift in and out of the waves, the light foam crests trying to find a way of existence in the pull of the Water.
The Dera boy wanted to keep his eyes close on the healing brute, but only had so much of time. Plus, he himself, was a pack wolf. He had to get back to the shack, or the duo would throw a dealio to his dome.
Damn.

"I got enough venison ta keep you alive, if you eat it sparingly. It'll be able to hold ya for a good chunk of a week, maybe a week and a half. And from what I remember, it's only a good 4 yards awy. I made you a bandage that also needs to be changed every other week, or else risk infection. So, so you're not all thaaaaat screwed. Food. Bandaids. You're chill."

Turning back to the big cloud colored macho, a light and cheery grin trying to do the slip and slide all across his lips.

"The only issue is pack. They wont even know where you are unless you open ya mouth for em. Even so, what good can they do that ya can't do for yaself, ya know? Hell, you got everything you need, so far. And after a couple of months, you'll be all set."

RE: Shoot the dog - Silvermane - December 07, 2014

My last (miniscule) post, thanks for the thread. <3
Silvermane nodded, and for a minute, he had just nodded sleepingly, almost passing out, before letting out a large, lowly howl, echoing, yet still raspy with his parched throat, and he looked at the golden male for a second, Thanks bro he whispered, and with that, he fell over, on his face, and fell aslept.

RE: Shoot the dog - Ashton - December 08, 2014

◆Not a prob. Fading for us. Good thread, Alex, and good luck on your musical. W_^V ◆

Ashton watched as his words fluttered past the pale guy, who blinked at him with the sleepiness of a newborn. If he wasn't so damn huge, it woulda been adorable.
Ashton wondered if the side effects of the blue cap was what gave the dude such a sleepy habit, but figured nah.
Hell, thats what surgery did to ya.

"Not a prob, dude.", were the only words that had enough time to come out before the amigo fell back into the sand man's hands. And with a little chuckle of his own, the yellow plaited hippie curled up next to the patient.
A good doctor could stay with his patient a bit longer.
Just in case.
And not too soon after, the doctor fell asleep, too.
