bloodaunt - Chakliux - December 02, 2023

with the trail lost and the others searching, chakliux continued east. forests. rivers. at last he paused to scrape tubers from the ground for his pinched belly, and slept several hours at the base of a tree thereafter.
but before evening, the seal hunter was off again, this time into the mountains. he did not understand the trails there, but he picked his way along the cliff as best he was able.

RE: bloodaunt - Mae - December 12, 2023

Hope you don't mind me invading all your threads..
The mountains were vast, and Mae was beginning to understand that Hearthwood's corner of them was rather small by comparison. Their territory was closer to the valley, the coast. This was unsettling to the Frostfur-Mayfair, who reasoned to herself that it would be easy for danger to catch them unaware from the mountains. High ground was always better.

So she took to exploring, making mental notes of where she found the scents of others threaded through the mountains. This time it was the sight of a stranger in the distance which caught her eye. She paused, watching the pale figure from afar for a moment. Then she started to follow from a distance, deciding she would find out where he was headed.

neverrrr <3

rapt as he was upon his quarry, chakliux did not forget his surroundings. a blood-marked face swung toward the younger wolf, scrutinizing. why did they follow?
"go home!" he shouted. "a monster walks the land. the hunt is not safe." and chakliux turned away, back to his search. anger sang in his blood. he would have the tongue of this man.

RE: bloodaunt - Mae - January 16, 2024

Who the hell was this guy? And why did he think Mae had to listen to a word he said? She picked up the pace, not even hesitating in her pursuit of him.

Yeah? Is the monster you? She called back, almost sing-song. Fuck you, buddy. Mae wasn't going anywhere. She wanted to see what his shady ass was up to.

RE: bloodaunt - Chakliux - January 18, 2024

chakliux was surprised, then angry; long and heavy strides ate away the distance between them. "i am no monster," he growled. "a man roams this land who hurts women. he may hurt girls also. go home to your mother and your father."
it was an order, even as he looked for them.

Home. Mother. Father. Why don't you mind your own business, dickwad? Mae snapped, perhaps unreasonably incited by his reference to her parents. Not every family ticks all your happy fuckin' boxes. Maybe women can take care of themselves.

And maybe you should go back to your own family instead of playing white knight. Guess that doesn't make you feel as bad ass, though, She wasn't thinking of him now, but Akavir. Was this what that looked like from the other side? This sense of purpose, anger. All Mae could see was that it was pathetic.

RE: bloodaunt - Chakliux - January 19, 2024

chakliux did not know all of what she said, but he understood it to be fully derogatory and fully ignorant, almost amusing in its insolence.
the seal hunter's face spread with a slow, mocking smile; when she had finished her rush of angry words, he tilted back his head and called out, someone has lost their rude child! someone should come and get her before the wind spirits take her away!
he did not let his gaze linger; and he did not either; the seal hunter turned away, for he had no time to dally with foulmouthed children and anger that had nothing to do with his aims.
