rest now, weary traveler - Briar Cayde - January 27, 2024 Having left Muat-riya behind to bake in the desert sun, Briar set out again to wander aimlessly. Weaving his way back north, Briar contemplated returning to the coastline. For the most part, he was spared encounters there with other wolves. Yet he couldn't deny the fact that it was winter, and that the seawater would be terribly cold for any fishing attempts. Briar continued to mull over future endeavors in a place that was new to him. Having been drawn to a rising mist he now understood as steam, he stumbled across the hot springs with a wrinkled nose. The scent of rotten eggs saturated the air. He had half a mind to continue wandering, but the warmth amidst the winter season was alluring. After some mental back and forth, he eventually lowered himself into one of the many pools to soak. Sighing as he looked upward to watch the steam drift away. RE: rest now, weary traveler - Inkalorë - January 27, 2024 Inkalorë did not often depart the spine; not anymore. They'd spent their youth traveling, seeing all that the world had to offer, and now as they crept further into adulthood Ink found that they much preferred to stay close to home. Particularly now that home featured a soundtrack of tiny pattering paws of their niece and nephews — and more to come, they hoped! But it was good to tour the flatlands on occasion, to remember the playground of their childhood. Inkalorë, too, sought the comforts of the hot springs. They were searching for one to lounge within when they noticed the stranger woven from earthen tones. Feeling sociable, they beelined for the stranger's pool with a friendly chuff. Perhaps he was from one of the moon packs! |
