Fire meets Darkness - Raissa - November 24, 2014

@Meldresi

Raissa had been exploring the territory of her new pack for quite a long while now and had found virtually nothing interesting. It irritated her immensely. Some ravens cawed in the dark branches above her. Her fiery orange eyes ablaze, she snarled at the dark winged creatures. They screeched in surprise, most likely not used to wolves here being so violent to them. Shaking her head she tried to get rid of the pent up anger. She didn't even know why she felt this way, but it was growing and making her feel even more furious. She needed to kill something.

Lightening her paw steps, she padded through the gloomy woods, her eyes glowing. Raissa heard a twig snap in the distance and swiveled her head towards the noise, her ears erect and waiting. She listened hard and could hear a slight scuffling sound coming from that direction. She crouched low and crept towards the sound. After a couple minutes of stalking the creature she spotted it. The wind was dead, so she didn't have to worry about that. The possum was busy eating something of its own, not aware of the deadly wolf lurking just behind it. Raissa prepped her hind legs, ready to spring. Counting to five she sprung. Her fangs dug into the large possums neck and she lifted it off the ground. It screeched and clawed at her face until she gave sharp twist to its neck and it fell limp in her strong jaws.

Raissa lay the possum down on the ever damp ground. She didn't even like possum. She sat down in front of it, trying to decide what to do with the creature.

The priestess saw some slight increase in the people who resided in her borders, in her pack. But she did not meet most of them upon their first arrival. She was too busy eating to gain fat for her pups', not patrolling or searching for herbs like she normally did. She had certainly succeeded in that, already she could identify all of the places were she gained weight, especially her legs and belly, around her heavy dugs.

She took a little walk for exercise to keep herself active, stalking through the darkness of her home. The priestess stopped at the sound of death, a possum screeching as something caught it. Wondering what was the culprit behind this kill, the alphess walked towards the sound, pausing when she saw the female standing over it. She made sure that this wolf was indeed from her pack, then walked closer to her. "Good catch, no?"

RE: Fire meets Darkness - Raissa - November 25, 2014

Raissa stated at the appearance of the dark leader, swollen with the weight of pups. The tri-colored girl looked back at her possum and then returned her penetrating gaze to her leader.

"To be honest, I just needed to kill something. I don't even like possum. Would you like it?" she offered, her tail low. She knew the dark queen would need to eat as much as she could before her pups arrived. This could help with that and if she didn't want it, she would just add it to one of the many catches hidden throughout the shadow shrouded woods.

"Thank you." She took the possum gratefully, pulling it closer to her body. The priestess examined the marsupial, judging its fat quantity and size. It was a decently sized animal and she tucked the carcass by her leg. "What is your name?" Meldresi was curious about this female. She claimed that she 'needed to kill something'. The priestess could utilize that somehow, if the female was willing. "You're from the South, right? Southeast, I presume?"

Raissa was grateful when the dark leader excepted her offer. Maybe she wasn't so bad after all.

"Yes, ma'am, I am indeed from the south-east. And my name's Raissa." she said, answering the dark females questions. She secretly hoped that the possum would somehow make her leader like her more and therefor raise her rank in the pack. The tri-colored girl took a seat, wrapping her fluffy tail around her paws, hoping her Alpha would sit too. It must be hard walking around with a number of extra bodies weighing you down.

Raissa sat, but Meldresi kept standing, despite the pain the weight placed on her back. While she would have loved to sit down, the priestess was not ready to flop awkwardly by her subordinate, especially not someone she had only met once or twice. It was a sense of pride she had that was hindered by the pups wriggling in her womb.

"Have you been enjoying your time here?" The priestess wondered if her packmates had actually liked being here, if they enjoyed hunting and patrolling, or if they did it just because they had to. If it was the latter, then she would definitely have to change things here.

When her leader remained standing Raissa felt an awkward air fall over her. She debated whether to stand up again or continue sitting. Deciding that standing up yet again would just make it more awkward, she remained sitting.

"So far, yes. I have only met Bane and Slade so far though." she admitted. It was true she missed the shine of the sun on her fur, but it was nice to have a place that she felt secure in. The darkness had that kind of effect on her. A sense of comfort and protection fell over her whenever she was in the dark woods.

Bane and Slade. They were prominent in Blackfeather, and it seemed everyone knew who they were. She was pleased by their loyalty and efforts to help her out, and she hoped that their actions could encourage the others do work just as hard.

"There aren't many other wolves here in Blackfeather at the moment, so that us not surprising." Her obsidian tail curled around her feet. "Do you travel out of the territory from time to time?"

RE: Fire meets Darkness - Raissa - December 17, 2014

Raissa nodded her tricolored head. She did venture out of the territory every now and then. She didn't know if she could survive living in the dark gloom constantly, never seeing the sunrise over the tree tops, or feeling the warm as sunlight spreads over her thick pelt,

"Yeah, every now and then I leave, but only for a bit." she admitted, hoping that she hadn't broken any rules.
