[m] A little shy and sad of eye - Chacal - February 19, 2024 She whispered sing-song words to the golden man as she passed by him, singing to him with every part of her body so that she might awaken all of his senses and summon him as a siren might lay claim to a wayward ship at sea. She skimmed along his side, pausing to nip at his flank before darting away with a peal of laughter. A knowing grin spread across her features, and was flashed to him; she felt like a river sprite, awakening as the waters broke free of the ice in spring. As always, she sought space from the pack, summoning only the man she had chosen to come along with her, favouring him for his dedication to the pack as well as the protection he might offer against any men who might try and invade their peace following their courtship. Ankyra Sound was too close to his heart- so while she toured along the coast with him in the setting sun, it was to the tree-lined beaches that overlooked the archipelago where the winds screamed like brawling eagles. Beneath a hot and copper sky she crooned to him, having reached both their planned destination and the point at which she could no longer desire her body what it wanted. RE: [m] A little shy and sad of eye - Svalinn - February 19, 2024 Her scent was a strong wind, her body a lighthouse towards which his galeswept ship careened for. He would shipwreck upon her shores in moments, laid bare and immobile for the Mother Sea to claim. His breath caught at every touch, every glance, every note of her laughter, and he did as the prancing beauty commanded — all thoughts swaying to her siren serenade. But it wasn't just a tune, was it? Because Svalinn, for all his self-pity and internalized suffering, felt genuine pride in being chosen by Chacal. In being worth her attention. Her desire. For if the wolves of Sapphique were all gemstones, then she was the singing diamond; the most coveted jewel above all. And lo! She had chosen him! The sheer magnitude of such an honor was enough to level him, reinvigorate him, and rebuild him again all in one fell swoop. Their surroundings hardly even registered to him as he padded after the goldcrowned nymph, eager and buoyant. At some point on their beachfront voyage, his obedience became ravenous, almost insistent. He could hardly bear to feel any air between their pelts, and his desire thrummed through him so fiercely that he thought he might lose himself before so much as setting a paw on her... Thankfully, he did not embarrass himself in this way! And she was marvelous to hold — graceful-limbed, svelte, pulsing with want for him. (At least, he imagined it was for him.) He gripped her with an intensity that seemed to come from him only in battle. For though he was docile and heavyhearted in the day-to-day, he now showed his true worth to the Amazonian temptress who allowed his lusting embrace. If nothing else, he was good for this. ***
He couldn't have enough of her, he thought, grooming her shimmering bedraggled fur in the bathing moonlight. His throat rumbled in pleasure, idly wondering how long they could spend out here before it became "too long." Tell me your absolute favorite meal,he murmured drowsily into her ear, a silly grin creasing his muzzle. Tell me so that I can hunt it for you until it's either extinct or you get sick of eating it. Whichever comes first. RE: [m] A little shy and sad of eye - Chacal - February 20, 2024 She'd seen him in eager visions since they had last danced on the beach, in the interim where she had waited for her time to come. In her mind, whether it be by daydream or by subconsciousness, she wondered what his touch might feel like, and found herself longing for him more and more. He had always been a quiet, but stalwart sentinel, giving up another path in life in order to serve Sapphique while he waited for his daughters to return to him. As a parent, Chacal knew that there was only so much waiting a wolf could do, before their began to wait their own life away. She saw potential in Svalinn, and wanted for him to be able to see it as well. Sapphique could be his home- not simply a place where a bargain had struck. He seemed to turn his eyes away from the waters at last, and turned them to her. With smiling eyes, she reveled in the change she saw. From soft longing, he now looked forward with vitality and a forgotten youth which existed still well within him. His own future waited him, and he seemed finally willing to grasp for it. When he reached, she would be there- and she would pull him in close, and wrap herself in his embrace. ** She couldn't help but feel like a bit of an idiot, in retrospect. Had she looked at him this way months ago, perhaps even a year ago- she would have had him in her life much sooner, had she only known. The same persistence and tenderness with which he had searched and waited for months was lifted- and now, he had somewhere to aim his ardor. He'd felt as heavy and powerful as a surging wave, leaving Chacal thoroughly fulfilled, and willing for a respite afterwards. Even in words, he was tender and loving; and showed promise of being as dedicated toward her litter as Valravn had been for the children from last Spring. She would accept it whole-heartedly; after all, both he and Valravn were a part of the pack's legacy. Now, Svalinn's legacy would be mingled with the blood of Sapphique. "Sea urchins it be, though wid time dat will change. Pregnancy sometimes makes even favourite t'ings taste strange. One day I want salmon, de next, a fat hare- per'aps kelp, or squirrel, or a bird from de air," She laughed softly, and snuggle against him. "But by all means, if it be makin' you feel good, you are welcome to be bringin' me all de food." No others had been granted this sort of welcoming, but she was happy to be able to extend it now. A chuckle rumbled in Svalinn’s throat — a sound from him that was almost unheard of! Well, whatever it is, kelp or bird, I’ll get it for you. Your wish, my command. He tucked the thought of urchins into the back of his mind; a reminder to fetch her a spread of them before the symptoms started. Before there was a chance for her to be repulsed by them, or she began to crave for something other than her favorite meal. Speaking of craving: he was certainly still hungry for his new favorite meal. So,he huffed out, grinning now. Now that our warm-up is out of the way…He teased his nose along her muzzle. I want you again,a kiss upon her lips, and again,a kiss upon her cheek, and againa kiss upon her brow and again… He nibbled gently into the crook of her neck, and pressed his body more firmly against her — letting his re-arousal be known as he began murmuring into her fur exactly what he wanted to do to her. He was more endearing now that she seemed to have reached a much more intimate side of him than she’d ever thought him to be. She had regarded him first, when she had met him, as a stranger worthy of a chance only because of his ties to the pack’s history, and because of his dedication to waiting for his daughters to return. He had not made grand gestures to make himself known or noticed- but quietly, he had drawn her eye. She had walked on sandy beaches for all of her life; and she had raced along the sandy beach with him before, both in courtship and en route for their time alone. All of a sudden though, she felt emotionally as if the sand beneath her feet- so familiar and warm- had been transformed into quicksand, and she felt herself falling deeply and quickly into something very new and exciting. Her heart fluttered at the thought of having Svalinn around, able to help her through her pregnancy as a provider and caregiver. No other man had filled such a place- save for her brother, Valravn, who had month after month proved himself every bit worthy of his promotion. She told herself not to put too much faith in the gilded man, though. It was in the nature of men to want to travel, and be unfaithful, to have a wandering eye…Sapphique had been without any husbands for so long now, she wasn’t sure it was likely to change unless with the next generation. So she would cautiously guard her heart- but while she knew she had him, she would take advantage of every moment, give and ask as well as she could, and revel in the delight of being desired. |
