Rosmaling - Solveig - March 20, 2024 The first week was crucial for the children, and yet they persisted and grew. Raptor, Thor, Raven and Freya fed, and were bathed and fawned over by their mother even while she pined for the absence of her older children. If nothing else, it made her treasure them all the more, knowing that someday they might also choose to rove. Days passed, and once the ninth day was over she leaned against @Rusalka and called out to their packmates, inviting them to join the Cairn family as they prepared to give each of their new children their full name. RE: Rosmaling - Greyfalcon - March 20, 2024 Greyfalcon heard her leaders call, a warm beckoning call. She had trotted to where’d she’d head. Perhaps after the event she would get a chance to talk with Solveig about a recently pressing matter…. She arrived, and approached and saw some puppies. Sol’s third litter, laying there cute and clean. It made her heart warm. “I am here,” she sat down nearby to the front-ish right side. She looked around for anyone else, wolves were just trickling in slowly…. RE: Rosmaling - Zulema - March 20, 2024 zulema swiftly showed her presence at the calling of solveig. she did not wish to test any boundaries, respectful and quiet to those of raventhorpe. it prompted a wistful feeling deep in her gut, thinking of the vale and her brash attitude and comfort. loud, confident and surrounded by love, she missed it. she kept her steps in narrow pathways to avoid most and pulled her weight silenty.
a small voice spoke to her, a low hum in the wind or rather a whisper to her heart. it was a troubling thought in her mind; one that convinced her she could not settle here, that this was not home. zulema said nothing, opting for a polite dip of her head. she settled an beside greyfalcon, still much of stranger to her. RE: Rosmaling - Rusalka - March 23, 2024 on the day of introduction rusalka, too, thought of their roaming children. hoping they were still banded together, hoping they were safe and kept their bellies full. it would be easier on them, he reasons, with the warmer months. still, these small assurances to himself do not alter the fact that they are both missed and their absences felt keenly. on all days but this day particularly. when they return to ravensthorpe to visit or stay, they would be meeting their baby siblings later. more grown along. regardless, rusalka was determined that the newest batch of cairns would know their older siblings even if they were presently absent. he draws in a breath, comforted by the sounds of the babes still tucked away, the press of solveig's body against his as her song rose thru the air and the others began to arrive. RE: Rosmaling - Arrax - March 26, 2024 Thor wanted for very little, his mother having ample supply in both food and attention for all four of her children. When he did fuss, he was tended to quickly, or found comfort in tussling with his siblings or gnawing on whatever appendage was nearest. They had doubled in size by now, and no doubt the den would become very cramped in the coming few weeks. Unaware of the significance of the date, the boy was nestled snugly amongst his siblings, kicking whoever was sleeping beside him occasionally as he roused with soft squeaking noises. Letting out a wide yawn, he then clumsily swiped a stubby paw at his face, causing a single eye to creak open, a sliver of blue peeking out amongst the dark fur. RE: Rosmaling - Hilda - March 26, 2024 Hilda felt the vibrations from her mother’s howl, and smacked her lips together, having fallen asleep with a mouthful of her mother’s fur in her mouth. She squawked when something nudged her several times in the side and in retaliation, thumped her hind legs in return, hoping to push the offending sibling a bit further away from her. She murmured, lifting her head as she smelled other wolves. Oblivious to the purpose of the day, she began to root through her mother’s fur again, in search of a teat so that she could feed. RE: Rosmaling - Solveig - March 26, 2024 no rounds, no posting order- others are still welcome to pop in! They’ll announce the names soon!
First to arrive was Greyfalcon- one of the first wolves who had joined them when they had lived on the Keep. Solveig appreciated her loyalty and invited her closer when a nod. She was followed shortly thereafter by Zulema, Teya’s daughter. She wished Thyra had stayed with the pack- it would have warmed her heart to see her daughter bond with Teya’s. She too was welcomed, and invited closer to see the children. ”They have been given birth-names,” She explained, ”But today we give them their full names, the names they will have for the rest of their lives. We just wait a bit and see if any of the others show up, before we announce. If they do not- then you two will be our witnesses, hmm?” |
