This was the very first page. - Roux - May 05, 2024

Roux and her siblings were two whole weeks old. They grew swiftly: eyes had begun to openĀ and some had begun to make attempts at finding their feet.

The gilded Pebble was eager to be on the move. She tried and tried again to stand, was ready to be up and about. She wanted to explore! There were new things to see, to smell, to taste.

Roux was simply too wobbly, not yet strong enough to gather herself upright. She emitted a soft whine, frustrated.

RE: This was the very first page. - Jean-Heron - May 06, 2024

The vibrations of a sister's whines disturbed the little round teapot that was her brother, Jean-Heron. And just like a teapot, he began to steam. He knew those whines! The muffled sound distressed him, and instinctively reacting to it, he began to wriggle towards her.

Of course, he could see a little by now, but he wasn't yet used to sussing out his surroundings visually - so he bumped around with his eyes closed until he was nudging a sibling's side. Was it the one who cried?

chacal's babes were certainly pretty things. as mireille's grew older, the healer spent more of her time near the tanzanite's den, simply observing and helping where needed.
but of course, nothing was ever so simple; she scans them often for milestones, proper signs of health and growth. they are wobbly little lumps of blonde fur, but they are strong and they are mighty for such tiny beings!
one emits a garbled cry of what seems like frustration as one of her siblings toddles closer to investigate. what's the matter, babygirl? she asks quietly, reaching a paw out toward her. you'll get it eventually. you just gotta practice.
