today the obsidian watched over the little ones of her sister. @Jean-Heron, @Èlosie, @Roux, and @Cheri were cleansed, cuddled, bathed, regaled with song, and then rearranged once more against her own milky belly to sleep, though she would not be averse to their nursing if it was so desired.
she wondered if one of her own brood might come along to keep company with her, even as a wide yawn split her jaws and she crooned to the nearest babe.

Jean-Heron’s milk teeth had come in with a vengeance, we’re sorry to inform you, Mireille. And the boy is not gentle.
The chimera child - now an expert at locating the nearest Bar & Lounge due to his week-old eyesight - nosed his way to the Obsidian’s offered belly and chomped down hard on (probably) the most sensitive of all her milk-spouts.

While her aunt presented herself to Chacal's litter, available to be buried from, Roux did not participate. She was a fussy little thing, and some deep-rooted anxiety supported only one milk source.
Jean-Heron, however, did not seem as particular. The golden girl watched her brother nose his way toward the Obsidian and scrunched her little nose, remembering the sharpness of his new, tiny teeth.

mireille jumped a little at that, swore, but settled again with a small snort of amusement. noting the look on roux's face, she nodded as if to agree.
