after two months, blue eyes shine a violet purple as they fixate on the things the fellahin daughter couldn't quite see well before. little crystals that distorted her pretty face — she always knew she was pretty, now even her reflection on the surface of water had improved — but tiye forgave since the crystals were pretty. everything was pretty. underneath her breath she would say as such before giggling off to the next nook of the palace.
everything but the new people. she'd avoid them like the plague. even her siblings weren't that ugly.
