if you wanted me dead, you should have just said - Sayf - May 20, 2024 It hadn't happened in a long time—waking up and missing time with no recollection of where he'd been or what he'd been doing. He had been stupid enough to believe that he had somehow cured himself of that mind sickness, but clearly, he was mistaken. The only thing on his mind when he woke up was Akashingo. How long had he been gone? Did they think he deserted them? he hated that. Sayf would never disrespect Akashingo in such a way. To just disappear—it wasn't like him. So as soon as he was able, he set off for the Mesa. He wasn't very far, about a half-day journey. The entire time he made his way home, he prayed that he hadn't been gone very long. Though looking at how thin he was, he guessed it had been a while. When he finally arrived home, he paused at the borders, unsure if he should just cross over. If he had been gone for a while, some might consider him a trespasser. They might attack him, and he wanted to avoid that. So he took a seat and leaned his back to call for whoever was nearby. RE: if you wanted me dead, you should have just said - Toula - May 23, 2024 she had missed him. Sayf had been someone with her family for as long as Toula could remember—and to see him at the borders, thin and unkempt, caused her pain. she had thought he had gone to aid in the departure of Medusa, gone to train with priests and priestesses—but it was apparent that somewhere along the way, he had separated from them all. the Pharaoh would not be stopped as she moved toward him, all concern and worry as she observed him. you are home, she soothed, and bid he enter with a gentle gesture. come—we will get you fed and bathed! and you will tell me of your journey, she breathes, offering him room to speak what he would… what he could. no anger at all in her, knowing again only relief that he had found his way back to her. to them! RE: if you wanted me dead, you should have just said - Sayf - June 03, 2024 Toula. Sayf liked her; she was kind and reminded him of Ramesses. He missed his former master but it was nice to have reminders of him. It was like he was still here in some way. Now he stood before his new master, the pharaoh. He dipped his head in greeting, wishing he was in better shape. He was supposed to make the pharaoh's life easier, not give her reasons to worry. Master. Thank you.he wondered if he should tell her the truth—that he didn't remember where he had been or how long he had been gone. He didn't want her to think he was unable to serve her. He didn't like how it might make him look. And he'd be fine once he was clean and fed. |
