in there on a frame. - Harlyn - December 04, 2014 Something told her that today was a day to explore more of the land outside of the Spine. Harlyn loved her home dearly, worshiped it even. But she knew that the Ouroboros was not the only beautiful example of Mother Earth's creations. She had a full canvas there in the Teekon Wilds, and the Cinderloch wanted to see just what She'd done with her brush when she'd found it. Her journey took her along the outer edge of the Heartwood and beside the winding river until she came upon Greatwater Lake. The river broke in two miles before she could see it empty into the massive body of water creating a little island between its two forks. It was there that she rested at the outer bank, gazing inward across the swiftly flowing river, wondering if it was possible for her to fjord it so that she could explore the inland. RE: in there on a frame. - Kove - December 05, 2014 The crisp breeze of the winter air blew in from over the river, ruffling the timber brute's fur quite a bit as he trotted along it. He was unsure what had brought him here, or why he continued to walk along the river after having seen the lake. Maybe it was because he was still so use to traveling around, or perhaps because he had the desire to get away from the dark forest. Kove enjoyed how his coat stood out among all the dark shadows that lived within it's walls, but the other wolves that it held sometimes seemed a bit... off. His paws continued to carry him further and further as he thought of his new pack, having never thought he'd join one. The idea of being tied down was unappealing, but he had learned that while they were to defend their lands, that didn't mean they couldn't explore further from it.
The Apaata male was pulled from his own thoughts as a dark form intruded his line of sight. It matched that of another lupine, and his curiosity got the better of him. His paws didn't stop until he'd grown a bit closer to the other wolf, making sure to at least enter hearing distance. Following her gaze, his copper orbs looked out to the piece of land, studying it before returning his gaze to the female. "Are you planning on swimming across?" Kove inquired, turning his head again to eye the river. "Might be a bit cold though." RE: in there on a frame. - Harlyn - December 07, 2014 Harlyn didn't notice the approaching footsteps until they were accompanied by the wolf's scent and, shortly after, voice. The druid turned to set her gaze upon the stranger. She gave him an appraising look while maintaining a neutral posture, finally allowing a smile to break upon her muzzle. "I was certainly hoping not to have to," she replied with a wag of her tail, "I would love to explore the other side, though." Her autumn-shaded eyes flickered from the white wolf to the opposite shore, her brows narrowing thoughtfully. "There must be some way across... You wouldn't happen to have come across something, would you?" she asked hopefully. RE: in there on a frame. - Kove - December 08, 2014 The white lupine had to stop and think of her question, retracing the way he'd come in his mind. Without having had the desire to cross over to one of the small islands, he hadn't thought to look for any viable way across. The Winter months had only just rounded the corner, leaving the possibility of ice having already formed very unlikely, and no strips of land had made themselves known to him. With a slow shake of his head, Kove found he had no way of helping the female. "I haven't seen anyway to get across, other than by trying to swim it," he answered. His orbs stayed on her as his words left him, but the second they ended he was looking back to the water. Normally, the chances of him just launching right into the river would be high, but as he had already discovered at an earlier time, he was no longer too fond of the coldness. Strange as it was, with him having been born in a relatively cold area, the years away from home left him not wanting to be as cold so often. RE: in there on a frame. - Harlyn - December 11, 2014 Harlyn pursed her lips in disappointment. It was no fault of the white wolf's, but it seemed that her hopes of getting over to the little island were going to be dashed. "It's a shame the gods did not bless us too with wings," the druid said with a sigh, shaking her head and then turning her attention to her new companion's. "I'm Harlyn Cinderloch, of Ouroboros Spine," she said with a bow of her head. After her introduction, she glanced back to the stranger, waiting expectantly for him to the likewise. RE: in there on a frame. - Kove - December 11, 2014 The brute grew slightly curious of her statement. It would be interesting to see a wolf born with wings, but the possibility of that happening was zilch. Even if a lupine was, by chance, born with a mutation that made it appear as if they had wings, their bodies were far too heavy to be lifted up into the sky with bird wings. His copper eyes looked to her closely as she introduced herself, then returned the motion of bowing his head. "I am Kove Apaata, of Blackfeather Woods," the ghostly man responded. Normally, he wouldn't include his pack when giving his name to someone new. It was strange saying it, but he didn't let on to that. It could be a custom of the female to give such an introduction, and he didn't want to offend by not following it if it was. |
