allavvik - Tulugaak - May 28, 2024

@Kukutux, maybe, since he's yet to meet her?

home. or so it felt like.

he'd spent much time building and perfecting his igluviak. but now it was time to pay in labor he owed those that allowed him to stay.

taking to the outer territory, he began his first of many patrols.

she prepared to depart for moonspear, but she saw the great-bear form of a new man moving among the trees, the duck straightened. her hides were pushed aside, and she gave the sorting of meat to another.

"you are tulugaak." her eyes moved over the raven-man in curiosity and welcome.

he turns carefully when the voice comes, setting his upon a woman of snow.

I am. he answers, dipping his nose forward in greeting.

but now, who was she?

could this be the moonwoman that sunman spoke of? he wouldn't dare assume, though.

RE: allavvik - Kukutux - June 16, 2024

she did not introduce herself — not yet. surely he would know who she was.

"my daughter has a bird of black feathers who comes to her call. sialuk, head of village moonspear," kukutux murmured, motioning.

RE: allavvik - Tulugaak - June 16, 2024

she gestured, and he looked.

moonspear, he repeated.

tulugaak recalled sunman mentioning other moon villages. this was one of them, he figured.

aside from this one, and moonspear... how many other moon villages are there?

if he'd been told, he he'd forgotten. his curiosity pleaded with him to be reminded.

"moontide, upon the sea. and then there is morningsong, which was once moonsong."

many!

her pride was immense.

"we hunt together and for each other."
