Most of her sleeps had been riddle with dreams of golden birds, of nests with shredded red and gold ribbons, and the dusty pink devil that tore it all apart. All of her dreams would end the same: a gold knight shrouded in steel battling the devil, but the damage was already done.
The golden girl was gone, never to return.
