he'd patrolled that morning, then gone on a hunt, deciding he would bring whatever he'd found to their matriarca and her whelps.
carrying along two fattened hares, he stopped just outside the entrance to which chamber @Reyna had claimed for herself.
chuffing in announcement, he waited, knowledgeable enough not to wander in a mother's space unless first invited.

reyna was half-asleep — most of her days were like this.
watching as her little cubs fight for which was plenty was usually the height of her day. she'd been doing just that when the presence of the new man tore her away from her babies.
puedes entrar.the vampiress' voice sighs, flicking her wrist as she raises her head. laying upon only her side, she straightens as much as she can while still providing her fledglings warmth. these matters did not involve them, afterall.

he's given permission, and he wastes no time.
the blood in these creatures still ran warm. she would enjoy it most this way, he thought.
ducking his head to slip inside, he set both hares down at his feet, then nudged them as close to her as he dared reach.

her visage remained poised as he enters with fat rabbits caught within his trap.
her intrigue only arises when she could feel the warmth still in their bodies once he had brought them to her. with a smile upon her face, only now does she speak.

she thanks him, and he nods, then sinks down onto his haunches.
todavía no.he answers with a shrug.
since the day he first came, he done nothing but explore and patrol the territory, content to slip to a quiet place for a nap every now and again. in earnest, it was all he really needed.
and more than he'd ever gotten before.

she pets the boarhide she lays upon and nods to her pups.

a banquet? he wanted to scoff, but withheld.
he'd never had much interest in the finer things of life. what he managed to get for himself seemed to be enough.
nunca he estado en un banquete.he admits with a slight grimace.

por los niños, por la vida.she chuckles, petting her babies with her tail.
el reino se llama La Muerte pero todavia hay que celebrar lo que tenemos ahora. los banquetes occura al fin del todos los meses.
besides, it kept her subjects morale.
si no quieres comer, por lo menos puedes cazar puercos hasta la sangré dellos salen por tus ojos.

right. he'd nearly forgotten that they were there, tucked close against the woman's side.
he looked to them for a moment, counting each and taking in their unique appearances.

sweet, maybe. but he'd never held a particular fondness for children, so he withheld from sharing his honest opinion.
necesitas piel de alce. no huelen mal y mantendrán a cualquiera abrigado.
he wondered now why pigs had been their first option. elk or buffalo should have been the preferred.
that's what he was used to, anyways.

hay caribú tambien. pero esto es lo que podieamos hasta ahora.pig tasted better to her anyways. and the less of those awful things the better.
besides, there was something more flashy about a boar's pelt than elk or caribou.
