the stallion moved with his head level with his shoulders, without the usual galivanting nature to his stride - which appeared sluggish, but determined.
prominent cuts and bruises to his chest, his shoulders, his haunches marred his otherwise muscular figure. they do not look like wolf bites; the marks are round like hooves, as if he had been kicked. some of the cuts look shallow and small, others thin but also deep.
his breath plumes from him in huffs.
