But I would not want you any other way - Alara - June 24, 2024

Hope this is ok @Yukimi! Also, @Makan is always welcome <3
Stubbornly Alara clung to the river.

She was dying. She could feel it. Each passing day wrought her thinner, more resembling one of those ancient skeletons a abandoned along the shores than a living, breathing descendant of the sirens. Each passing day fashioned her a weaker thing; a faltering, dwindling, disappearing thing.

Finally by the river she collapsed. Alara did not know whether her shadow still led her. Did it matter?

She could no longer follow.

This is a-ok, and thanks for starting! ^-^

The young snowbird rested nearby the winding stream, previously tiring herself out from hunting a hare. Safe to say the lagamorph won the chase -- and the yearling was left with worn stamina and a rumbling belly. Her chest heaved painfully, and it made her wince in her sleep -- Yuki overexerted herself once more. Hopefully it didn't worsen her injuries.

Yet it was the sound of a thump in the nearby grasses that caught her attention. The ears on Yuki's head erected towards the noise, momentarily frightened. Was it Ash? No, it didn't smell like him...and when she'd approch the riverside to investigate, a sleek figure of silvers and whites came into view.

Yet they were unmoving.

H-Hello? Yuki called out, in some hope that they'd respond -- but when they didn't, she'd slither over carefully and nose at the woman's shoulder. Was she dead!?
