Seeing her first snowflake had not been much of an acomplishment or memorable event for the young female, if anything it would go down in history as the most pathetic afternoon she'd had. Like the time she had had a beetle stuck to her nose and the time she'd gotten her legs covered in red fire ants she had thought the little cold flake that fell onto her nose was a savage bug that had returned to claim vengange on her for ever having messed with the invertebrate species. RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Scarlett - December 09, 2014 Here she is!
The white wolf trotted over the glacier that was her new home. After waking up she decided that she should explore her new home. Her coat camouflaged perfectly with the icy white background of the glacier. She made her way down the glacier to the small lake. Scarlett took a few refreshing cold gulps of water before continuing on her way. She noticed a small forest that might contain a hare for her to snack on. Scarlett's light feet padded over the cold ground as the light rain drizzled down. After she got under the cover of the trees she shook out her damp fur. Scarlett looked around to check her surroundings. This might be a good place to dig a den! Scarlett walked on to then see a pup climbing into a log? She watched curiously how the juvenile wiggled her way into the wooden log. Scarlett trotted closer in curiosity. She got to the other end of the log and sunk through her front paws. She was a small wolf but that didn't mean she could fit in there like the younger wolf. The white wolf got her head to the opening. The hidden young wolf got the scent of her pack, something that she was still trying to get adjusted to. "What are you doing?," she asked curiously. Her red eyes scanned over the other female and all the objects that lay in front of her paws. The white wolf's tail wagged a bit. It was time to work on her relationships within her new pack. She would start with this little one. "I'm Scarlett aka the latest addition to our pack," Scarlett introduced to make her more at ease with her, the stranger, presence. Scarlet lowered her behind so she way comfortably lying down, her head resting on her paws so she could look inside the log. RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Maera - December 09, 2014 <3
mae right now
Each and every one of the objects laying at her feet held a meaning to the young female. And while they might look pretty ordinary, in Maera's eyes they were her most precious possessions -- but it wasn't the glimmer of the stones or the unique patterns the leaves and feathers sported what captivated her. It was the underlying meaning what charmed her. Every one of the stones, feathers, flowers, and leaves she had collected, which were neatly arranged in five six different sections, were meant to represent a loved one that had gone away. RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Scarlett - December 09, 2014 OMGGGG I can totally see that!! Amazing.
The female realized she scared the young wolf and shuffled a bit back to give the other wolf more space. She licked over her lips and curiously watched how the other acted. It was almost like she was protecting something? Scarlett wasn't sure if it were the objects but there wasn't anything other she could protect. The adult's head tipped when hearing the thump. "Ouch. Are you hurt?,' she asked with a bit of worry in her her voice. She wanted to crawl forward to check but she won't fit in that log. Plus she didn't want to scare the pup even more. "What is your name?" Scarlett thought about her answer for a moment. "By foot actually," she dryly replied. She had to grin a little bit at that. "I saw you climb into this log, with difficulty I might add, and I was curious why." Her red eyes scanned over the pup's body language. "I can go away if you like. Keep this your secret place. But soon you aren't going to fit. You might want a den to hide in," she calmly explained. Scarlett then decided that she wanted to help the younger girl. The white wolf would be sad for her if she had gotten too big to reach her precious objects. "I could help you dig one. It will keep you warm too!" Her tail flickered with a hint of excitement. She still needed a den of her own. Maybe she could share it with the girl so she wouldn't be alone. Was that a selfish move? Scarlett didn't thought long about it. "But only if you want to." RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Maera - December 09, 2014
And just like that the bloodshot eyed female who had popped her head into the log retreated, leaving Maera alone and confused in the middle of the log. Though she was out of sight, she was not out of range, Maera could still her voice at the other end of the log, "Yep, fine and dandy" she barked while flattening her ears on her skull. Even if Scarlett's bright red eyes were not on her she could feel the heat on her cheeks grow -- at least she had not been there to witness her ridiculous reaction to snow too. RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Scarlett - December 10, 2014 Scarlett looked up over the log when she saw a little tail flicker. Her eyes trained now on the struggling pup that was trying to get out of the log. She had to hold in her laugh. She wasn't laughing at the young wolf, oh no, she was merely amused. It all looked very adorable. Scarlett repeated her name into her mind so she wouldn't forget, along with the young wolf's scent. She locked it up together into her memory. The white wolf got to her feet as the pup was out of the confined space. "Well nice to meet you, Maera," she spoke once she could look at the other. A soft chuckle rung through the air. "I wasn't implying you were. I thought you might wanted another hiding spot. I don't know from what you are hiding..?" Scarlett kept in mind that Maera's dad was also in their pack. She didn't know which wolf her dad was but she needed to be on her toes. She didn't want to intrude or make his mate upset for hanging out with the young wolf. Another thought process. The young Maera had not mentioned her mother just yet. Curious. "Oh-- Oh it is a club!," Scarlett then smiled which you could describe as a wolfish grin. "Well then it will be even more special we will just be digging you the best clubhouse. I will keep your club secret, promise." Scarlett stepped closer to the pup. "It must be difficult to find members for a club that is secret, don't you think?," she teased lightly. "I can be a member if you like? How many members are there? Just.. you?" Scarlett's tail was gently wagging. So many questions were bubbling in her mind. "Oh I have no doubt in that," she replied, referring to the being killed part. She liked the humor of this juvenile. Scarlett walked past her and looked around. "We should find a good spot for the club's den. Are you going to scout the area with me?" RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Maera - December 10, 2014
The girl's feathery tail waved in the air as she enjoyed the way her own name rolled off the other female's tongue. What had she said her name was again? Ruby? Oh, no Scarlett. "Same to you Scarlett!" she yapped while letting her tongue hang limply from her mouth. Even if the àck had been founded by her own parents in hopes it would become the little Sveijarn's kingdom, Maera had to admit she didn't even know half of the faces walking around in the pack. Aside from her inmidiate family, she had only ever known Danica and Arabella, both of which were far gone now. RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Scarlett - December 11, 2014 The woods around them seemed to have quite some good spots for dens. These woods reminded a bit of her homeland's woods. How curious that she had walked to the same type of forest. She wanted a different life not the same. Scarlett smiled fondly at the young wolf. She enjoyed hanging out with puppies and young wolves probably because she could never really be a pup herself. There were always practices and how to watch out to not be seen by humans. Yellowstone was infested with them actually, especially in summer. She felt suffocated. "I will keep the secret... and I am a girl," she drawled. Her tail wagged less avidly when the pup talked about losing members, or well, a member. Mae's sister. Scarlett didn't dare to ask what happened or why her sister was gone. She could only think of one thing. How horrible it was for the small girl. Scarlett wasn't going to remind her much more of her loss by asking what happened. A happy yip came from her lips when she was in the Ultraconfidential Girl Club. "I'm in the club? I've never been in a club before this is exciting," she barked as her tail was back to wagging. A thick and fluffy white fur being swept from left to right in her movement. The white female followed the pup and walked next to her. Her nose scanned around for something that they could use. Maybe there was a fox den close by, this way they would have less work to do. Scarlett sniffled out an old badger hole but the location wasn't as nice. It wasn't perfect so she decided it wasn't good enough for her club house. "Maybe we should just dig one ourselves on the perfect location." RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Maera - December 12, 2014
Humans were another type of monster Maera had not had the misfortune to come across. Her heart was wild, feral and untocuhed; just like the Glacier. Even if she had not liked it in the start, she had fallen in love with the peaks and barren grounds of the Glacier; even with the sadness it held in it's interior, Maera loved it. RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Scarlett - December 13, 2014 Scarlett's ears caught the giggle of joy. A wonderful sound to her hears. The female grinned. "Thank you dear. I will honor the role I've gotten in your club," she smiled. The wolf traced back to the log and then looked to the other side. A bid old pine tree was close by. Scarlett stood in front of it. The roots of this tree could be an amazing frame. She turned to the small wolf. "This spot would be perfect!," she exclaimed. Her front paws already started eagerly digging so there was a start. Although it wouldn't be that much of a secret den. The albino stopped and looked at Mae. "Sweety. If you don't want to tell me you don't have to. I will wait. When you are ready to share it I will be all ears to listen to your story. Deal?," she smiled and gave a fond lick over the top of younger wolf's head. "But see, we could make the entrance small. Not too small of course. And we could dig chambers so one can be the main room and you could dig one for your objects to stay safe," Scarlett suggested. She was excited. She always had a thing for digging. Maybe because it provided a place to hide. RE: rose gardens filled with thorns - Maera - December 19, 2014
Her new friend's bubbly attitude did not bother Maera, who despite having being more reserved druing her childhood was now beginning to crack her shell -- a task that was easier said than done. With her eyes still lingering over the hollow opening that held her treasures, Maera was relieved that Scarett didn't press on. She accepted the female's soft kiss and nodded slowly, switching her focus to the architecture plans Scarlett began blabbering about. Scarlett loved the young one's enthusiasm. It lightened her mood so much. Maybe she was still a pup herself because she never really got to be one. Although, she did like to take the mother role. She watched the pup dig. "Try to focus on one spot it will go faster that way. It also helps if you picture scratching at someone or something you dislike," she advised with a grin on her face. The pale female let Mae dig the first part and then took over to finish the work more quickly. The day went by faster than she imagined. Scarlett never asked about the objects she knew that one day the girl would want to tell her because she was such a close friend. Of course being close friends didn't happen in one day. Scarlett had the patience. Plus she liked pack bonding anyhow. That reminded her that she should spend some time to get to know her alpha. Maybe make him like her more. Scarlett wanted to be useful. |
